LSU Not having Smith( out for season injured) was a factor..and LSU wasnt in it 3rd qtr. Like most 3rd qtrs they own. Hat off to Dawns well coached team..they didnt give up and pressed harder 2nd half.

*1 quarter SC scored more points than LSU in every quarter except the first. The score gap just kept getting smaller and smaller.

@@darksteel78 Maybe. However, they were down 8-11 points several times during the game, and wore losing for 90+% of the game. As Stanley said: "The team with the last run won". Meaning, it was the late 4th quarter run that was the big difference. "outscoring" a team by one or two points in a quarter, when they're down by 10 or 11 pts, doesn't really mean much. Most team lose in those scenarios (down big early, then fight to come back outscoring the winning team proceeding qtrs).

This was LSU best chance to beat SC was at home. I don’t see LSU beating SC on a neutral court.

I may be the only fan that would’ve rather been blown out than to lose a close game like this. Like we were almost there. If Angel didn’t foul out, things might’ve been different but we came out in the start of the 2nd half letting them outplay us. By the time Angel fouled out, I already felt like the game was over because we weren’t playing the same as the first half but I had hope. Say what you want about HVL but I seen some clutch shots and plays that come from the experience and mentality that she has. Andddddd Delllll Rosario who I’ve been rooting for all season held her own against Cardoso…she’s starting to get mean and get big and I’m here for it🎉🎉🎉

@Next Day The 4th foul, was a TERRIBLE call, cause Cardozo fell on top of Reese and knocked her down. So, that call (Cardozo knocking Reese to the floor) should have been called from the get go. Did you not see that?....So, that 4th foul should have never been called, making the 5th one so important. But it was really the 4th, that made no sense. Who was "exposed"?

You the same person, talking about LSU was going to lose by 20-30; Angel Reese was gonna get killed by Cardozo, and/or HVL was gonna get dominated by Raven (don't see how). Funny: It came down to the coaching of DS, and/or the exploits of Fulwilley and Bree Hall during minute, but very important stretches of the game. Take your win/Congrats. But, don't come here talking stuff. Cause, from what I saw from this game. We can still see a repeat of last year with LSU winning the championship, and SC being sent home again during a "shocking" loss during the NCAA tournament. They're not as great as their record on paper (while LSU is better than theirs), and all it takes is a couple of losses/doubt for it to go all downhill (at the worst moments). Kudos for Stanley for the job she's doing so far.

One point in 2nd and 3rd qtr each. What a lame ass Stat. The 4th qtr was the difference, when Reese became limited and fouled out, Carolina went on a run, they outscored them 11-4 at one point. Great f**king game, both teams left it on the floor and it could have went either way. Today was Carolina's day, there will be others.
