It was time to spread it around and give the underclassmen some game time, no reason to risk more injuries to starters when your depth is already questionable.

That's the Josh Heupel way. Watch any game at UCF where we had a lead over 2 scores at half. The team slowed down heavily in the second half.

I know this guy from 3 years worth of experience lol. I don't doubt that he'll improve and they won't slump like they might this year, but don't expect him to change his way of slowing the game down any time soon. Can't say I'ma take Tennessee against Ole Miss but I wish ya the best. Hope the Vols play good.

@@nathan.d.c I think that’s just coaching adjustments. Teams cannot prepare for the hurry-up no huddle offense when it’s run efficiently. The scout team can try to duplicate it, but they aren’t going to be able to run it as well as a team that runs it exclusively. One thing to practice against it, another to see it in the game. Which is why it is so important for this offense to come out red hot and get a big lead. But once a team has seen it and can talk about their game plan, it’s harder to be effective. South Carolina was much more aggressive on defense in the 2nd half, and that had nothing to do with Heupel.

Last week I thought if Kentucky can beat LSU I think there is a really good chance they finish 11-1 ( don’t think they’ll beat Georgia). As of now and being a Tennessee fan I think UK and UT will be a good game, but the way we’ve been playing I think Kentucky will be that big win we get over a ranked team we shouldn’t beat that we somehow pull off nearly every year. Either way I think it’s gonna be a good game

I'm not convinved SC is even that bad of a team. A six point loser to UK? The SC offense I think could have traded scores for a few quarters had they not fallen so far behind. CJH's success really goes up if his staff gets the beat on the D's and than its off to the races. Many forget, TN's offensive staff are all transplanted from a school that's already perfected this where many staffs of other teams, have not.

Ask Ole Miss how that pac 12 garbage is working out. With an inferior roster, UT-Bama was a 7 point game with 7 minutes in the 4th quarter, and until UGA pissed the bed against Bama, UT scored the most against them all year. Hate to feed a troll but just an FYI, attendance was almost 90,000 at a noon game yesterday and the Ole Miss game is about 2000 tickets away from being sold out so there will 100K+ Saturday night. Second, the merch is selling because Vol fans are loyal to a fault and also because the team is exceeding expectations and there is an energy behind the program that hasn’t been felt in years.
