Last week I watched as an undefeated team was treated like an underdog while the media basically had already started celebrating Clark’s first national championship. Basketball is a team sports and one stat today proved that. The South Carolina bench out scored the Iowa bench 37-0.

I know the media wanted Iowa to win the championship so bad so the headline is “Caitlin Clark crowned as champion” and put Iowa behind Caitlin. they thought she was above the brand, she isn’t. the team as a whole (Iowa), lost today and the better underrated undefeated team won: the South Carolina Gamecocks.

South Carolina was favored by 7 or more points they were not underated. And Caitlin Clark is a amazing player and people hate on her cause she a white star and cause media says this or that she don't say she's the team. She is very unselfish and from before tournament started south Carolina everyone knew was best team. These young girls play hearts out and for most part are all decent young women and young key word so not perfect but to hate on someones success being Catlin or Reese is just wrong. You see now how media can put black against white to keep us divided instead of going after the real bad guys (our politicians )

SC deserves all the roses for its undefeated season. Clarke was steph curry 2.0 out there as usual. The womens games this year were far superior than the mens. SC as a unit is just so well coached by Staley ( she could coach an NBA team) and Clarke could end up having an amazing WNBA career anyways, as a premier PG

Wow amazing performance by the south Carolina Women team this afternoon was a tough and physical and mental game tonight but by the end of the clock they came out in top.Hopefully they will win the championship this year. Great contributions tonight and efforts from Ashlyn,Kamilla ,Te-hina, Raven Johnson and Tessa Johnson tonight.But for me the MVP player goes to Tessa Johnson her 19 points lead South Carolina to the victory and prevented them from being eliminated. But on the defense end this afternoon was a big and great game coming from Kamila her 15 points and 17 rebounds This is a great night for Gamecocks fans and Dawn Stanley as well.

Hope someone puts together a montage of CC complaining about not getting a foul call on every other possession AND her getting her pocket picked repeatedly by Johnson. After barely beating UConn, everyone should have know the impending result. SC beat UConn handily and then did exactly the same thing to Iowa. Give a good team 2-3 times to score almost every time down the court and you will loose. Give a great team the same option and you loose soundly.

The first is Kamilla Cardoso. The 6'7" star had 15 points, a career-high 17 rebounds and three blocks. The second character -- or group, rather -- is the bench. South Carolina's outscored Iowa's 37-0. Tessa Johnson (19 points) and MiLaysia Fulwiley (nine) are among several Gamecocks subs who could probably start pretty much anywhere else in the country. "South Carolina is so good. There's only so much you can do," said Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder. "Cardoso has 17 rebounds. They have 51 as a team. We have 29. Hard to win a basketball game like that. When game score 44 Iowa to 42 I noticed girl guarding Cailtlin is allowed to grab her arm while she is dribbling down the court to get a steal without any foul call. Same girl does the same thing for the final steal late in the game. Two critical non calls

I AM SO SO PROUD OF THESE GIRLS, SO PROUD OF THEM! But yes, I’ll give Dawn Staley immense immense credit for such a solid team this year. Sometimes there’s an extra force when it comes to a revenge game. And yeah, they’re just so good when you have players 6’7 and every single person can quickly do jump shots.

Caitlin Clark is a phenomenal individual player and of the greatest to ever play the college game but South Carolina were the better team top to bottom and once they got the lead back from Iowa they never looked back. Cemented themselves as one of the greatest college teams ever assembled and made the game look ridiculously easy. The scary part though is that the majority of that SC team is coming back next year.

It really is. I've seen so much coverage about Caitlin(hardly any mention of her teammates). She deserves her flowers for being a decent player, but South Carolina won. Give them their time to shine.

Congratulations to South Carolina for being undefeated. In anything in life, you can't do it alone. You can be the best player on the team, but the best player is only as good as the players around them. Pistol Pete didn't have anyone to help him but Larry Bird had Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson, and others. Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. Tom Brady had a host of wide receivers. Dr. J had Moses Malone and even Sampson had God.

I understand it in football but I’ve never seen a basketball team “take a knee” to end a game. Iowa gave up with 42.8 seconds left in the game. Unreal. 42.8 seconds is an enormous amount of time left. Foul, take 3’s from wherever but don’t give up. I’m baffled by the last minute…..
