There should be a provision whereby anyone building a facility on the beach will have to preserve the forest as it is. No cutting of trees but build around them. The counties along the coast need to ensure this so that the Kenya coast does not lose its unique tropical forest aspect. We do not want to see a concrete jungle along the coast like most countries with beaches have. The tropical forests must be preserved at all costs. Kenya must maintain its tropical beach forests at all costs.

I give Kwale county a thumbs up for trying their best to preserve the forest cover as much as they can. Explains why Diani is cooler than Mombasa. Also, the gazetted Kayas have played a role.

Yes diani..is a gem..beautiful..white sandy beaches ..endless sunny days..Azure warm tropical waters ...and the swaying palms...paradise...!!! BUT NOW...what of the nagging beach Boys, the sea weed?? That's the number one hindrance to magnificent splendor of the kenyan coast. Just manage the beach boys...employ them to clear the weeds completely on daily routine...keep it pristine... You will not need to advertise...you only need the drone shots from above....and you won't stop the flood ... Try and see..

Mombasa should follow the Omani aesthetic and blend it with the unique Swahili coast aesthetic. I travelled to Oman recently and the country has completely banned high rise buildings and skyscrapers in favor of low sitting buildings that complement the Omani landscape with very beautiful traditional Islamic architecture and its by far the most beautiful country in the entire Arabian Peninsula. Those high rise monstrosities in Dubai & Abu Dhabi are horrible and it's sad to see Nairobi trying so hard to turn the city into a crappy looking concrete jungle. If you've been to New York, then you know how dead that place feels with nothing but concrete and the constant smell of urine and weed everywhere.

They need to have someone cleaning those see weeds..and they need to build a board walk along the beach with restaurants and businesses not just hotels..get better boats and make sure there's no soliciting people at the beach

Tell them to hire a company that cleans the beach and to educate those beach boys about giving clients some privacy. I frequent there often and sometimes is a disappointment

Yea...beach boys are always harassing tourists, and they need to by a beach seaweed cleaner like most beach tourists places around the world....Africans are not that smart, it's such a shame, see whats happening in Bali, Mexico and places like phillipines
