Three people were killed, including a police officer, in a shooting Thursday evening in Minneapolis, according to city officials. Witnesses described hearing the gunshots ring out when the incident unfolded.

For me, i don't care for all these back and forth politics. What bothers me is this 1st amendment gun ownership. The whole lot of unstable criminals have guns. Police officers are not supposed to be drying like this. It is really sad. These people do stressful jobs every day, and to see one of their own get killed like this, it takes a toll on them. Look what just happened a few months ago, Police officers and first responders died for no reasons by another scumbag who was not supposed to be in possession of firearms. My heart goes out to all law enforcement officers.

This is unfortunately part of the job and the risk that comes with it. These officers are more than aware of the dangers of picking up this job - it doesn't mean that they deserve to die, but I can assure you that they are very much aware of what they're signing up for. If they aren't okay with putting their life on the line, then this job isn't for them. The most we can do is show our gratitude for their service and hope that everyone signing up to be a cop has the heart of this fallen officer and aren't just doing it because it's an easy one-way ticket to a power trip.
