South Park: Snow Day! reviewed by Travis Northup on PC, also available on Xbox and PlayStation.
We know exactly what a great South Park game can look like, and South Park: Snow Day! couldn’t be farther from it. I’m a huge fan of throwing out the rulebook to try something completely fresh, especially in this age of samey sequels and forever live-service games that increasingly play it safe. But this bold attempt at a new direction misses the mark so drastically I’m aghast at just how sideways things went. Whether it’s due to the thoroughly unenjoyable combat or the uncharacteristically toothless and unfunny story, I can’t recommend anyone waste their time on this cooperative lost cause - even my fellow die-hard South Park fans.

Generally criticism is reserved for the review. Can you imagine seeing a first look of a movie or game and during that preview someone says "So, this looks like a pile of crap, what do you have to say?". They wouldn't be invited back for anymore sneak previews AND fans would complain that they crapped on something before seeing or playing the finished product.

imagine this being south park filling their ”quota”* of only about roughly 10 episodes a year (in terms of how long they are), and 5 hours being about 10 episodes (not really as they’re 22 minutes, but I’m gonna go off the 30 min airtime) and such we won’t get a new season or specials this year *ever since the specials became a thing the numbers of episodes per season have been 6, and then 2 specials which are about 2 episodes in length each, meaning we still get the 10 episode length but just in another, mixed format

@@WarpHype let’s break it down. One person at IGN had fun with a preview. Usually in a preview state, they would expect there to be more content, maybe more diverse content. Plus that preview wasn’t without its problems. Now that the full product is out, those issues are glaring. How many times has it happened, where a preview seemed like it was gonna be at least decent, and ended up not being decent? Should everyone at IGN review the same game now? This game looks mediocre at the very best

Idk why everyone thought this was gonna be on par with the other games when both stick and fractured were made by triple A game studios and this was made by an indie studio with only two small games under their belt neither in the genre this game is. Trust me a 3 is about what this game is for people that played the last 2 south park games if you not played them 2 and only play this one then yea people will give it a average score but from the last 2 games this is a 3 for sure nothing what people wanted for the next series it not even written by terry or matt so a intern probably did it as it shows.

The Fractured butt Whole had a DLC with a challenge mode. It was 1 of the 3 options in the DLC. That challenge mode was longer and more fun then this entire game. For context: The whole game takes as long as 1/3 of the DLC of FBW. What a let down and disappointment. For $29.99, this game is WAY over priced for what it delivers. If you really want to play this game, wait sometime. You will see the price drop down to under $10. Rating: 2/10. It got a 2 bc playing with friends is fun for about 20mins. Then its just repetitive and boring given the limited stages, weapons and abilities.

Looks like something they would do on a snow day in South Park to me. It's not the 3rd in a series of turn based games, so why would anyone even compare it to that? It's a South Park fighting game, and IMO we are lucky to get another game from them to play!
