The Hong Kong Sevens is a landmark sporting occasion offering unparalleled global exposure for the city. the new location will damage this event - part of the heritage and atmosphere of this event is the pilgrimage of people migrating out of Causeway Bay via the closed of roads, up the hill to a stadium nestled in a valley. there is loads of accommodation and bars in this area, something the old kai tak area will never have, let alone the current locations close approximately to wan chai, soho and lan kwai fong.

Colonial relic? It’s a sports tournament … stop being so sensitive. It brings tourists and money into our economy. To use your logic, we should cancel horse racing, football league, golf open, squash open, and the harbour swim race.
