I know it goes against the current trends and perhaps color preferences, but a tweedy look in darker tones whether neutral, blue or green are a busy mom's best friend when it comes to camouflaging kid and pet dirt :) It's great that your cushion covers are removable and washable - saves a lot of money. I've seen people on KZfaq throw cushions away because they've gotten dirty and perhaps they don't want to be bothered with cleaning them or buying cushion covers that are removable and washable. I don't get it, as I sure don't have money to throw away every season to buy new the next. I store my summer furniture, cushions, rugs and covers in a covered shed, that saves a lot of wear and tear that otherwise would buiild up over a winter, especially where I live in southeast Wisconsin. Mosquitoes get bad in the summer where I live, too. My 3 sisters and I are all "bug magnets" - research has shown that some people produce pheromones that attract insects, and it's more women than men. The suckers will bite me even through Deep Woods Off bug spray! I have a screened gazebo on my patio, which really is a life saver. It looks like you have a screened porch or patio area, which is great! If you want to try to grow roses, look for the "Knock Out" brand of roses. I couldn't survive a Florida summer myself, I don't know about roses, but the Knock Out brand is said to be extremely hardy and resilient and the spent flowers do not need to be dead-headed. It will also rebloom several times during the warm growing season.

I love the way the porch turned out, I live in California (southern) and we don’t get a lot of seasons here either, but I do have to say it is easy to plan any outdoor activity, we are lucky here we do not get a lot of mosquitos sometimes in the summer but not to many. I think I would paint the rockers I think it would allow them to stand out more. I think Roses are easy to care for just plant them in mostly sun and they will do fine.

First time seeing your video. Plant City, has the best strawberries 🍓, watermelons 🍉 and other fruits. I live in a small town just west of Tallahassee. My Dad, was a truck driver and would haul seafood, to Plant City. He stop and bring home some fruits from their. Miss those days. As a life long Floridan, keep your rockers white. Also use Lemon Candles You can also make a lemon candle get a plain white candle and get some lemon extract aromatic drops, and when a liquid melts put a bunch of drops inside melted liquid. lemon and eucalyptus, they say all natural ways to get rid of mosquitoes also, I just burn a lemon candle Spray some eucalyptus around the patio area when we outside. Lemon grass plants in pots are on my porch & patio also

White chairs can be bleached and spot cleaned.

I have the exact furniture on my little side screened porch. I was so disappointed in the cushions. They started molding within a few weeks, yuck. I even covered them with another material and found they still molded underneath. I would never recommend this type cushions. I have no animals on mine and my porch is screened and only has three sides that has dampness, I have one side boxed in. Just a note. I love your diys. Blessings!

You look old but then I'm nice pieces to have I would go ahead and paint them black I don't think you would regret it they would pop they'd stand out they'll never get that dirty and they're really show off your front door your front door looks really nice you can put one chair on the left of the door and the other chair on the right of the door and you would be able to see that coming up in your front yard and that would look so pretty especially right next to a plant

Paint chairs a stone color.

Your tall planters with the ferns on your front porch would look nice painted black as well as the rockers. It would give it a more cohesive look. The trick to taking care of plants is buying ones that are appropriate for sun or shade and not to over water or underwater. Check the top of the plant by putting your finger a few inches into the soil and see if it feels dry or or wet. These is your clue to water or not to water! There are so many KZfaq videos of people giving great advice on plant care! The ferns look very pretty on your porch. I lived in Florida for 8 years after being from the Midwest and I just could not live without the change of seasons. To me it is just a part of life. I look at it like this, it is the way we ourselves have seasons of our lives and how boring to be stuck in the same one all the time, but to each their own way of living! Enjoy your pretty porch!

Great videos. One tip. If you do voice overs please keep in mind the volume of your music vs your voice. It’s annoying to have to turn the volume up to hear you speak and then turn down cause the music is so loud. It can really turn viewers off because no one wants to be turning volume up and down constantly through an entire video. Some will just click off the video like I did.

Your hanging baskets need to be dropped down some. They are too high!
