My nephew Ahmad plays tuba.. We came down Sunday.. Nothing like hearing the bands on the streets of NOLA!💙🤍 He told us at a battle of the bands one year, as a child that he would play for SU and he did just that.. He is the oldest of my parents grandchildren and we are all so very proud of him.. 🤞🏾

Soon as i heard Southern strike hard with "Spend it" as their 1st song,and heard Valley's response. I knew the tone Southern set would make this battle an easy win for SU. Valley wasn't bad, but they just wasn't "THAT" band that day.

Sounds like the EXACT same arrangement when NOLA all star band played it. Baritones gotta clean that that melody up at the beginning though. They do that nobody can reply to it

Bruh, lately they been abusing rap songs at the “S”. It was a treat when Mr. J, B or Haymer wrote it because it was instantly recognizable, had an upper brass gliss & was raw. Not just a bunch of random ass arrangements. No one in the crowd knows what the hell SU is playing under their new directors man.
