I’d like to petition for a new soft-spoken series where you try new drinks, snacks, or treats you’ve never had before. The entertainment value of the Egg Nog tasting was wonderful, especially the suspense-building glugs of the glass bottle. 😂 I’m not an Egg Nog fan either and my friends and family always look at me like I’m crazy. It’s just not for me. 😅

I had never put it together myself, but describing commercial eggnog as “banana like” makes perfect sense! I think it’s the nutmeg flavoring, which has a component called eugenol which is also present in ripe bananas. Mixing that with wine sounds vile though! 😂

Mary that is one awesome looking Pecan cake that you made. Looks delicious, you are a very fine baker! I buy home made pies at a farm that sells produce and home made deserts -- I buy the Apple Crisp Apple Pie - it weighs 3.5 pounds and is delicious and costly at $28.00 - I buy it for Thanksgiving and Christmas and other special occasions - but the farm does not make Pecan Pie which is disappointing. I am going to a football watching party on Sunday at friends and I am bringing one Apple Crisp Apple Pie and a Banana Bread Loaf.

Funny story. I'm from around Richmond Virginia and I grew up saying Peecan. I then lived in Colorado for 7 years and if you have ever met someone from the Midwest you know that they have their own version of the English language lol. Moved to the most southern part of Alabama almost 2 years ago. Was working at waffle house and I called out for a Peecan waffle. Everyone in the store turned around and stared at me and someone says, "your not from round here are ya." I say pacahn now lmfao.
