Your daughter does a really good job picking out the older glass bottles. Looks like you and your wife have taught her well. Great job. Love all the very little bottles that are only about an inch tall very much. Stay safe. Cheers.😊 Yes, that little antique toy car has been waiting a long time for your family to walk by and find it. Cheers.

The little "sample" bottle at about 3:21 looks exactly like the bottles that contact lenses were in, before being dispensed by opticians. My Mom became an optician in the 1970s, so she brought things of these empty bottles home. They had a rubber stopper cap covered by a foil seal. In the late 80s, early 90s, the contact lens companies switched to plastic blister packs. I still have seed beads in some of those wee bottles!

Been here countless times. Low tide is when it’s awesome. There are tidal charts but the wind makes it unpredictable sometimes. As you get farther from the Gal Hodges bridge you get better stuff. I’ve found 3 blob top beers so far and plenty of art deco/ acl sodas.

According to our chart 2:30 was our low tide and we got there around 3 so we had a couple hours before it got back deep. We didn’t make it halfway down the beach sadly but will be returning for sure.

@@adventurearchaeologyYeah it’s the wind that pushes the water in like crazy, makes it like it doesn’t even matter if it’s low tide. There are though bottles inside the bank. There are probably tens of thousands of bottles. It’s a never ending spot I always find new things.

Dead Horse Bay, got it's name for the factories that use to be there in the 1850's. Where horse bones were ground to make glue, fertilizer, and other products. The bones were then dumped into the bay.

The blue rocket/bomb reminds me of a toy to pop paper caps. The caps were used in cap guns but these novelty toys you would remove ti top of the bomb, place one cap on a metal plate. It would have had a metal rod sticking out the top. Toss it in the air and when it hit concrete or a hard surface the cap would pop. I'm guessing the metal rod and plate were rusted away. I'm 75 and played with these with my friends many times. Strange today to have something with a metal tip you threw into the air. Definitely leave a knot on your head if you were the landing place.

Nice day. The place where all the dock poles were lined up pointing at the water was a place where the old timers beached their boats to do maintenance on the bottom. They would bring it in at high tide and prop it up with a slight lean and do one side and next tide Lean it the other way and do the other side.

Horseshoe crabs are harmless. Their blood is blue and harvested for medical research. Dead Horse Bay is closed to the general public. The area was a collection and processing point for horse carcasses for rendering for glue and fertilizer. Don't know is meat was processed for dog food. A place for gloves and current tetanus shots!
