Southgate has constantly left White out of every single squad since the world cup. White says nothing. Edu calls Southgate to say you might as well not bother considering picking White, and Southgate leaks it. The guy is a weasel. Wasting the best crop of footballers this country had ever had.

Personally, Ben White is the most underrated English player I've seen for a long, long time. He's so low key yet when he's playing he's 100% locked in. If Ramsdale has concentrated issues Ben White is the exact opposite. I honestly think his potential is to be as influential as Philip Lahm. Obviously he'll have to work on his long range passing but I seriously wouldn't be surprised if he he pulled it off. ❤😂

The more I think about it the more I think I don't want Arsenal players playing for England again. I'll never forget, and I was disgusted by, the way Saka was treated for missing that penalty, and the way he was racially abused. It's unfortunate that Ben's in a position where he feels like he's better off removing himself from the situation but it's his choice. Hi James, love your comments. I’m an Arsenal Fan from Germany, and al lot of this reminds me of Jogi Löw. He clearly had his favorites and didn‘t play others even when they were on excellent form or Löw was in need of another approach. One good example is Kevin Kuranyi. He scored and scored, got called for the national team numerous times, but only plaid friendlies or the last 10 minutes. One day he was even left out of the squad for no reason, attended the game in the stadium and left angry at half time, seeing that he had no real chance under this manager. Löw was terribly upset and never nominated him after that, even calling Kuranyi disrespectful. Maybe BW is making the same experience. Southgate will play his favorites no matter what. He never got a minute in two tournaments, and I think he feels he never will under this manager. So why bother. I‘m glad he will be fit and available for the City game, since he’s been outstanding this year so far.

I’m not English, don’t care about the national team. But I LOVE Arsenal, and watching White play a few times a week is a pure pleasure. Southgate is a petty scumbag. Any player as good as white would love to play for the national team, but some managers are a**holes. Being an Ipswich fan, the whole country vs club problem doesn't often arise, but for the last couple of seasons because of how well we've been doing, several of our players have had international call-ups. I'm actually rather pleased when they're not ultimately selected, or, in the case of Massimo Luongo, declined his recent call-up for Australia in the Asian Cup to focus on Ipswich's promotion push (but he is at the end of his career and the prospect of being selected in the first team was minimal anyway). I respect White's decision and I'm sure he'll feature heavily in England's future set-up, when the current senior coaching staff have moved on.

I'm an Arsenal fan. I love Benny. I would do the same in his position. But he isn't the best RB for England and Southgate won't put him in CB over that fraud Maguire.
