Evidently, there is enormous potential for development in South Sudan and there are noteworthy efforts going into it albeit the challenges as this documentary shows. It gives insight into the work of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the country and its fragile context.
UNDP, using the triple nexus (peace-humanitarianism-development) approach in South Sudan continues to support the country to address the bottlenecks to pave way for sustainable development through projects including in peacebuilding and community cohesion, good governance, public administration and service delivery, youth and women's employment, HIV/AIDS, climate change and environment among others.
Looking at achievements, challenges and development opportunities from the last five years (2019-2023) and a glimpse into its future plans for the country's development priorities, this documentary showcases UNDP's continued commitment and journey to accompany the world's youngest country into sustainable hope, dignity, equal opportunities, peace and stability for all South Sudanese and their environment.
