If you are into adventure and like to go off the beaten track on holidays, South Sudan could be an ideal destination for you. The world's newest nation is one of the most under-developed, with poor infrastructure and a mostly rural society. Al Jazeera's Anna Cavell reports.
At Al Jazeera English, we focus on people and events that affect people's lives. We bring topics to light that often go under-reported, listening to all sides of the story and giving a 'voice to the voiceless.'
Reaching more than 270 million households in over 140 countries across the globe, our viewers trust Al Jazeera English to keep them informed, inspired, and entertained.
Our impartial, fact-based reporting wins worldwide praise and respect. It is our unique brand of journalism that the world has come to rely on.
We are reshaping global media and constantly working to strengthen our reputation as one of the world's most respected news and current affairs channels.

separating from you alone is a big accomplishment. the only reason oil is over 90% of south sudan's economy is not because we lack other resources. it is simply based on the fact that we are still finding ways to tap into the other resources. the large wildlife itself will provide economic stability for us. like i told you south sudan is a country starting from the scratch. if we can kick you out of heglig when we are only a year old and you have been a country for over years, it means something

Tourism Potential people not religion, not Politics not nothing, so i don't see how these dumb comments i have read through will push forward a country struggling to stand on its feet.

Kenya is not evil, making your citizens dependent on the whims of tourist who want to go on safari is evil. Kenya was booming in 2005 when everyone was obssessed with the maasai tribe and was going to africa to stalk them but now the country's economy is dying because the government never thought about truely helping its own people through something sustainable. Thats evil.

Costa Rica and South Sudan are very different and what will work in Costa Rica might not necessarily work in SS. But i do agree about the Kenya model, i hate it, relying on tourism is unsustainable, its always boom and bust, and what happens when another hotspot begins to draw all your tourist? Exactly.

These habitats won't stay "pristine" for long once tourists start pouring in.

south sudanese and north sudanese should work together to try and solve their problems not insult each other the reason why south sudanese divided is because of the racist ideology and neglect of development in south sudan for many years by khartoum also trying to shove the filth of islam down our throats. the irony is that most northerners are darker skin black unless you go to khartoum where most of the mixed race sudanese are,

MultiAbdelrahim what is your problem? Why are you on a South Sudanese video if you hate Southerners so much?! we're two different countries isnt that the memo to leave us alone? We dont drink urine (the only time urine was ever drank was during the walk of the lost boys to Ethiopia during 1990-1996, the boys were fleeing the war in Sudan and had no water in the desert so they drank their own urine, many did not survive to see a peaceful Sudan contd
