Perfect item to go with my original Product Enterprise 12 Inch VIP Eagle - bought an entire case of 6 on EBAY 20 years ago from a shop in UK - shipped across the Atlantic. One of my favorite ones was the Special edition Gold Plated 12" Eagle in the "Coffin" Box.

A brilliant looking collector item. Unfortunately, the price point is high ($200 USD) and there is no functionality (no pod separation, etc.). I'd rather they did away with some of the 'frills' (Super high-quality collectors' box, landing pad display stand, and so forth) to add just the most basic of functions that everyone expects - pod removal/interchangeability. Heck, Dinky did this way back in the day for less than a tenth of the price (but of course with far less detail and much more volume). This would give the model so many more display options.

As a semi frequent customer of the Anderson Store I purchased mine earlier today. To go with the Transporter and Rescue I already have. Shipping to this British customer in Tampa Florida. And my wife isn't too happy either. She will get over it 😢 Worth a couple of days of moaning 😊

@GerryAndersonTV Sometimes, I do push my luck. I have many British sci-fi passions. And I do my very best to balance them all without incurring her wrath. But certain Space: 1999, and UFO products, and particularly Eagles do gain my attention. And having purchased the old Product Enterprise/Sixteen12 years ago. And found them inaccurate to a degree that I couldn't accept in comparison and financially unviable. I stick with you guys. 😀

Every added detail or function or moveable part massively increases the tooling and manufacturing costs, which then has to be passed to the end consumer.

Thought this might be a good place to ask. when I was young I had a modular ship that looked just like the Eagles but it came apart into separate pieces, each could be played with on their own. The front piece came off and had it's own engines, the bay area had a rover type vehicle and on top it had a smaller space shuttle type. All these different parts came off the main so you could play with the apart or all connected. I was wondering if this was was a Eagle from the show as it looked just like ones on the show or what was it if anyone knows? I've never seen another toy Eagle ship like it since I was a kid in the 60's - 70's.

@@sitcorocket WOOHOOO THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I could never remember what it was so when you said the name I googled it and yes that is it. I knew it was one from Garry Anderson that's why I asked here. I had such great times playing with it as a child.

@@MsKinnara what got me as a kid was just how the pilot got into the interceptor thingy on top of the craft...i loved it. It was gonna be a tv show but never made it. Glad i helped 🇬🇧👍

@@sitcorocket That 1 toy gave me so many fun times as anywhere I took it and my imagination each place whether it was the beach that became a desert planet or the lake as a forested planet the imagination was all I needed to have great adventures.
