Just messing around on Space Engineers and decided to have some fun by attempting to re-create the docking scene. XD
Credit to: incept10n(author of the giant Endurance ship above) and Wonkatoad(author of the Skybox background)

@@drewwagner5227 I thought the KSP one was eh. It's so playdoughy (the graphics) and I think it was edited to more so match the movie scene. This one had to be done in one take and likely took multiple attempts considering how similar it is to the actual scene in the movie. Anyways though, it doesn't really matter. In the end it comes down to personal preference.

You should try to re-create the scene with the same tension. As in, with the Endurance falling towards a planet! That'd be insanely cool

Woah, I disappear for school and come back to see quite the reception, you all must really love Interstellar and/or Space Engineers or KZfaq Algorithms back at it again XD. Thanks for all the likes and all! Wasn't expecting a simple video made for fun to get this far! (And the comments were fun to read XD, glad to see the references and awesome comments!) On a side note cant say im back for good, life got me busy and wasnt expecting to be a KZfaqr from the start (If the absence didnt already show it XD), just a nerd being a nerd uploading whatever whenever :P. Maybe I might upload something by the end of the decade, in the meantime, you all take care, you're all amazing!

I think it's a combination of all of that. I love space engineers but have yet to put the time into playing the thing. I like watching things exactly like this. It's cool too see a game replicating sci-fi scenarios

The wobble is not caused by 'rotational mass'. It is because both objects are not exactly on the same plane as eachother when they are rotating.

Do you know what I loved the most about watching this video for the first time? That because the title is “docking attempt” the tension of if it could be pulled off was just as awesome and breathtaking as the original scene. Amazing work, whenever I hear that song play I think of both this and the movie.
