Welcome to Space Engineers. You will see, even after 2000h+ you will still learn things. Don't give up on this game because it can be very difficult and frustating but it's still a great sandbox game. And don't forget to praise Clang or it will come to pay a visit !

Sleek Corridors, its such a good mod, all of my builds use it, all sections have a floor and roof, and only the walls change depending on what you want, normal corridor, windowed, light, T section, Corner, X section, they are all there, SO SO SO SO SO good i forgot to ask, "is my visor down??" LMAO

Oh look it's some of my favourite old mods which I haven't used in a while mixed with some really cool ones I've not yet tried... And now it's midnight, I have work in the morning, and I desperately want to go install some mods to the save I've been working on. Lol.

[CRD] Scaffolding Repack - Better scaffolding than the usual unwelded light armor blocks i see you use Personal Shield Generators - Though maybe on the slightly OP level, provides you with a bit of anti-instakill protection from turrets [SEI] Cockpit Immersion Pack - 2-part cockpits that open!

Good overview, first time I've seen some of these in action (still catching up on your MATT series). I mentioned Crew Enabled in your last stream - adds NPC bots to non-player grids with matching factions, can make boarding actions a little more exciting... Also check out the [QoL] mods, especially Production Quota - script free autocrafting built into all production blocks.

Id love to thank you for taking a look at my mod! and the rework ive been working on, good news, restarted working on it again! hoping to get meshes fixed, new models, and lod stuff! and ofc, MULTIPLAYER! as well as some bugs that need squishing :) also i know im late, i went on a very long break.

I like the AE NPC Dummies - Interactable NPC Blocks v. 0.6 44 Engineer Turret Soldiers Give more of a lived in world with the Ai enabled

One thing about AIEnabled - though I don't know if it's been fixed or not - is that it can't handle the Rotary Airlock mod. Because it's so different from normal doors and opens and closes at the same time, the robot is left completely flummoxed. Just something to keep in mind if you're like me and refuse to play without the airlock.

I find the flat rotor from the solar rotor kit to be very handy on its own. So many uses for a thin unobtrusive rotor.

I played space engineers 11 years ago, and like most of the original community, quit when it seemed the project was going to be abandoned and months passed between updates of an utterly broken game. Incredible to see its actually still around and seemingly much improved.

11 years ? More like 9, no ? The initial release on Steam was in 2013... and yes the game was kind of crappy back then but it always had its own ambiance.

weld pads = luv em! fixed structures = ohh yeah make that out of Concrete because I can! tethers & Pipelines = game changer

Love the gravel-made concrete blocks. But some other things I hope/wish about them: (1) they should not be air-tight. (2) they should take extra (shatter) damage from weapon fire. (3) They should take less damage from heat/thrust. This would make them ideal for landing pads.

i foresee great things for my faction and that exploding concrete like using our ships bomb drop pods to deliver payloads of concrete to the other players on our server thanks for the info on that shack

A few must-have mods: "Refill Station," "small grid expansion," and "automatic ore pickup." But if you're feeling cheaty I sometimes like to use "uranium ice and cobalt" and "long-range ore detectors" and you cant forget a speed mod like "ludicrous speed".

The detach mode comes in handy, when you have a heap of functions in one control block and want to reposition it without seting everything up again.

Looks like Catpain Snack has been drinking the coolant again. This series is hilarious, there is no other game where your creation can get fed up of its "owner" and just nope out and drive off on its own to start its own faction. 🤣

Most important is the "Light Block Improvements - easy control panel access" Will work great for your Cave/battery Lights, among other things

fill levels bars on cargo containers, I use it always. Really helps to see how much storage I have remaining.

That box didn't flip over because of the aerodynamics mod. It flipped because the center of mass is outside it's hitbox.

My must-have mods : Small Ship Mega Mod Pack Sektan Modular Thrusters and Atmo Tiered Hydrogen Thrusters Aerodynamics Mod Sage Industrial Thrusters Nanite Mod Those are the mods you find on every of my saves. Then, I implement other mods depending of my mood for the save. But actually I'm messing with Weaponcore. The big problem is not all mod blocks are displayed in G Menu. So if you didn't know block name or just forget then you could never find it.

Small static blocks are actually considered stations, if you go into the info panel it says convert to ship same as a large grid station

@@TuDeDaTe If you disable asteroid generation in the world. It can get laggy trying to load in so many so fast. But it always worked for me.

Did J117 call you “Meatbag”? Have you seen the Tool Switcher mod? You can place multiple tools into one slot on your hot bar and scroll to switch between them. So you can either have multiple tiers of tools or put Welder and Paint gun in one slot; grinder and drill in another slot; handgun, rifle, rocket launcher in another slot.

So good, the modders have done some incredible work with this game Also, i learned the hard way that those repair bots can sometimes die of exhaustion. Mine died right in front of me, just dropped dead on the spot

Being able to add a script to a coxkpits/LCD as a framework for other modders, that would be a great tool. Now that workshop items can have a relationship to each other as a requirement. I would think some of the most popular scripters would love that for radars and easy status updates.

Light improvements - makes it so that you can access the lights you see directly via terminal, no more needing to search throught thousends of light-blocks

great Mod suggestions! I've scrolled past the concrete tool a few times but was always kinda sketched out by it, maybe I was scared it would cause a performance hit or unbalance the game, but after your showcase of it, I think I'm going to have to try it out purely for the concrete paths you can make with it! as far as "must have" mods go, for me anyway, Splitsie's Sneaky Sounds - Quieter Tools mod is a necessity. I simply can *not* stand the sounds of the tools, and they're *deafeningly* loud in vanilla, and since there's no slider for them in the options, I end up playing with the game muted without this mod (which is kind of a shame, because its music is lovely, but the other in game sounds, like HUD notifications, rub me the wrong way as well). however, I pair this mod with Welder Eyestrain Reduction by Vox Serico, and Less Drill Dust and Stone Particles by Nikolas March, on the workshop, because using all of the tools is irritating to every sense that interacts with them. thank god Keen hasn't figured out how to put haptic feedback on this game yet, or we'd all have arthritis in addition to being deaf and blind, in the name of "realism."

Currently my favorite mod is the VCZ Multifloor Elevator 1.199 Fix, I now go out of my way to figure out how to add it to any ship/station I make.

I kid you not my mod folder has 913 items in it, I'm a coinissuer of well made mods, I've had lots of favorites but my favorite underrated mod is a modular beam weapon mod that builds up power over time in a closed loop and releases it in one deadly blast Also check out VCZ Elevators if you don't know it, just don't click the Christmas lights button

Build and repair for sure, but no I have a couple of mods I love to always have and use 1." Small ship mega mod pack" now it is a little over powered but is getting better and is a beautiful mod 2." AQD Small grid expansion" more balanced then the first but has nicer blocks 3."Grated Catwalks Expansion" its just nice to have some different catwalks

would be cool if the concrete mod could do a (normal texture) dirt texture. if you want to repair ground. so its not just concrete.

Do the bots have to return occasionally to recharge? They should make them take up power like that.

Imagine a mod that makes it so blocks stolen from hostile grids, if they have computers, can sometimes start to take over a grid if attached and left alone for a random amount of time always exceeding 30 minutes. This would mean you'd have to keep an eye on things or your turrets will suddenly start firing at you and your base, though not always

There is actually such a mod called hacking computer i believe, it has a set % chance to hack a block on an enemy grid for you, just weld one up or more for more speed/chance and the grid is yours without loosing rep

@@thomasthurman7840 when you grind down anything belonging to a different faction, be it a broken loose block, you get minus reputation which can be bothersome but i find your idea nice too, just i would make it so only when that block remains unpowered for the whole duration and when reset, reset to nobody

Its hard to keep from using it offensively. Build and Repair can strip enemy ships. Hack them. It also can change how you build ships because you no longer need access to areas for repair. As soon as players get them, they quickly expand there builds waaaay to far. Running resources dry and pushing servers to the limit. If you can keep from abusing it. Its great. But I've seen it ruin multiplayer servers with friends to many times.

BUILD.. jk i know ya know about the buildn repair cause i watched you then i got it in my saves... the L.Y.N.X weaponcore mod is beautiful... you might have played with it? umm the abandoned settlements and other random spawn stuff of the planets i like but it does make the progression really fast...
