I have a suggestion that could solve the dizziness from driving this. You could put a remote control in an horizontal orientation, put control in the hotbar and use it when you are not drilling.

a tip for jumping and minnig is to chace the hup (H) it wil make it easy to see where you neet to go

Hey GG.. got a suggestion for you.. put all the sorters onto the non-drain all option.. make them act like filters only and put the collecters on collect all and throw out.. collectors have a slightly higher 'inventory' than sorters.. so by having them do the draining you get rid of a little bit more stone per tick.. (at least.. they did until they changed the ejecter to a collector.. Splitsie gave this advice originally) with all the drills you have.. you'll need every advantage you get enjoying the new series btw

Thanks heaps for the suggestion mate! I was messing around with this yesterday, but I could not remember the sequence of settings between the blocks, I'm going to update this tonight I think, hopefully get the blueprint on the workshop too! 😎

Love that you 're building a complicated system to fuel your miner, rather than just adding ice to it! 😂. I'd put a few ion thrusters on the miner to help manoeuvre

you should change the armor n make the big ship look like a AA battery. like an energizer battery, not an anti aircraft battery :p

I think you could do this on the moon withoutsetting changes by putting ejectors at the top and a grav gen pushing it up. The pieces would be affected by gravity, I think grav gens work on the moon still, and it would fling them away. A spherical grav gen would be even better to get them out of the area

This was going to be my suggestion. Spherical grab gen lower down, spraying rocks up and out as a fountain. 😁👍🏻

Nicely done.. that WORM has a lot of power and potential.. a few tweaks here and there like you always do and she can handle just about anything you can throw at her. 100% for design and function!

If you put the sorters on drain all, they become the bottleneck, with one ejector/connector it is not an issue, but. Just filtering them for stone and puting the ejectors on pull all enables more througput than just with the sorter.

To add my 2 cents I've never really cared about the stone falling back into my vertical miner eventually there won't be any room in the cargo for the stone to be picked up anyway so I wouldn't worry to much about it plus as your flying around it'll eject more. If I have to dig dig for the ore I'll usually turn the ejectors off then dig until I get to the ore, back out dump all the stone resume ore digging.

Yeah after using the miner for a little while it looks like I could get away with increasing the objects in settings to well over a 100 and not have a problem, so I agree with you on that 😎👌.

Maybe Have the cockpit at one orientation for cruising, and a remote control using the camera for viewing and piloting downwards? Dunno if that would make it more comfy for you to fly?

just binged the whole series today and loved every minute! I was thinking it may look cooler to switch out the conveyer tubes connecting to the thrusters on the top of the ship to the industrial pipes so it looks more like a fuel line. Just a thought. Keep up the amazing content!

hey how about Ion drives on all side but lifting keep those Hydrogen for the power of the load all others can be slower but I do like the new Drop Miner there's a name for you HaHa

Would you make automated mining ship bringing ice back or have a collect it into a big hangar and there the captured cargo transport from few episodes ago can just go back and forth with an event controller and two ai blocks (defensive and move)

question the big ship of yours that you added a conveyor to the big red and yellow one? will that be blueprinted? or is it just for your use? the mothership one i got a name for the miner ship how about the drop boreworm

If you're just trying to get rid of stone and your willing to fiddle with game options to do so just get the mod that uses a block to pull stone out of your system and destroy it.

Not gonna lie, I did not even know the mod existed haha. Turns out I was worrying more than I needed to as they would have worked fine even before adjusting that setting, probably could've handled about as high as 240 on that setting lol.

Yeah but the thrusters on the side of the vertical miner may not have enough power to lift the ship once it gets to the moon 😎👍. Technically they have 30,000kg extra, but you risk crashing it into the ground with such little thrust to play with 😔

Could you have just rotated the drill ship 90 degrees to line it up with the mother ship for transportation? To get it out of the way of the big thruster?

Suggestion! Add a Grav gen on the rear of the miner, and make sure the Field and grav direction is forcing stone away from the ship. "Wont work in 1.0 P-Grav!"

You do know you can rotate the drilldo 90 degrees and it won't be too close to the turret or the thruster, right? RIGHT? Also, reverse cam, maybe a sound block to go bip bip bip too. Are reverse lights too much to ask? Yeah... probably too much.

Yeah I don't think the side thrusters would be strong enough to lift it off the ground though, certainly not while fully loaded anyway 🤔.
