However remember to keep Server Owners happy, keep the projector off until the ship gets damaged and try keep the projector inside the ship so it doesn't get destroyed!

Nice tutorial! And take a look at these two QOL modifications players want: the "multigrid-projector" plugin which allows players to project subgrids like custom-made turrets, and the "Projector Highlighter" which highlights blocks that are not welded or are damaged thus saving a lot of effort finding these blocks.

The projector block needs it's model updated so bad. I've been playing for years but I still for the life of me can't get the thing in the right orientation.

Exactly. It can be confusing even with the Build Info mod highlighting the orientation of blocks.

But remember to activate "Keep projection" WHILE YOU CAN, otherwise the blueprint, when finished, is immediately unloaded which in turn causes all projection controls in the terminal to become greyed out for some insane reason, *including the "Keep projection" checkbox* itself, and you have to load a DIFFERENT blueprint just to get the checkbox to be available again before you load the original blueprint for repair back in for future use. Because usability is not something taught at Keen.

Because the grid thinks you’ve finished assembling the ship when it detects every block is in place, you complaining because you didn’t hit the obvious button that’s needed for the desired outcome is on you. It’s space engineers, think like one instead of complaining, this isn’t an issue.

@@Xelite "Because the grid thinks" - No, the grid doesn't think. It's because Keen thinks SE's GUI must at all costs prevent the user from accessing sliders or buttons or checkboxes when they are _currently_ not doing anything, even though the change would be needed later. And even if those controls can be changed anyway by selecting the block in question together with a different block where those controls ARE still enabled. Because Keen doesn't concern themselves with usability even two seconds past technical implementation. It's Space Engineers, and no space engineer would engineer such a needlessly user-unfriendly interface.

@@Xelite of course it's an issue, they could allow the keep projection button to be toggled disregarding if there is any blueprint loaded so this doesn't happen, and then people dont have to find dumb workarounds

It would be nice auto align by matching the blocks. Setup the align controls and align is horrible

Yes, I would love if we could use the hand to press on a projector to move the projection like a block. It would be nice if there was a "Save Ship for repairment" button, too.
