This was the series that launched the great wave of Hanna-Barbera super cartoons from the 1960s. Birdman, Mightor, the Herculoids, Young Samson, Shazan, the Galaxy Trio, the Arabian Knights, Moby Dick. When the other network kids show producers saw Space Ghost, they all said, "I want one like *that* ." Saturday mornings were a great time for kids back then.

Spade Ghost had a cool Rogues Gallery of recurring menaces: Zorak, Moltar, the Creature King, Spider Woman, Brak, and of course his robotic nemesis, the mighty Metallus. The one-offs were good too, but with the repeats it was personal. And can we spare some love for the Phantom Cruiser? Sharpest-looking hero vehicle on Saturday morning.

SiFi and Super Heros cartoons Saturday mornings were the best. MeTV is adding a 24/7 Cartoon channel this summer June 2024. Hopefully they will add some classic Saturday favorites.

I was never a Space Ghost fan BUT anything from the 60's 70's and 80's that takes be back to better times is welcome. The only reason I watched Space ghost was to see of the show included "Teen Force" which I did like.

You are correct the Action for Children's Television complained bitterly to the Federal Government that the Action Adventure toons, westerns, Cop shows etc were too violent. Which forced the removal of most of these shows.
