Rick Moranis did reprise the role on The Goldbergs and he supposedly doing a sequel to Honey I Shrunk. He could do voice acting along with Mel Brooks. They can get a voice actress for Joan Rivers or have her daughter play the role. There are several other actors that passed away too. Well known actors like Dick Van Patton, Dom DeLuise, John Hurt, Phil Hartman, ect... Losing John Candy is tough. Maybe they can spoof Stars Wars by CGI a dead actor. I can see Jack Black playing the role or play Barf's Son.

Ernie Hudson said they tried to get him to play a small role in Ghostbusters Afterlife but he didn’t want to. He’s only done some voice acting stuff here n there which requires little of his time. He’s the type of guy that if they offered him $50,000,000, he’ll respond “why? I already have $10,000,000 and that’s more than enough.”

I introduced my daughter to it when she was little, she's 13 now and still one of her favorites, I watched it with my folks as a kids and cherish this movie greatly!

Spaceballs stayed funny, I completely agree about the Three Amigos/The Jerk/Meatballs/Revenge of the Nerds/Stripes though. Not sure what anyone ever saw in those.

I agree with you. There's a lot of parody material so for a sequel and projects like Bad Boys 4 are even successful. If done right and Mel Brooks' style is applied, it could be a hit.
