Some people were born with special abilities to do certain certain things. i think that you were born to teach Spanish. you are an excellent teacher for biginners. I love the emphasis you placed in the pronunciation of words and strategies you used to explain the concepts with clarity and precision. I also love the slow techniques used, which is really beneficial to beginners like me.

Another great Friday video. Paula I love to listen to you speak in English in your beautiful Venezuelan accent. You have a keen mind and are able to explain Spanish grammer very clearly and understandably. This is a rare ability for native Spanish speakers and I often turn to videos made by native English speakers for lessons on complicated Spanish grammer. I also like to listen to native speakers because after all it is their mother tongue, and they are the ones who truly speak it and have down the pronunciation and rhythm of the language. I think it is great that you are not limiting yourself to a single format. I do love your all Spanish videos, and find them challenging. I think you are starting to see that what works for one topic might not be the best for another topic. This video will be more accessible to beginners. I was a beginner a year ago. I hope that some of your new beginners will progress as I have and get to the point of advancing to be able to understand your more advanced all Spanish language videos. Remember the days when I was congratulating you on your first 1,000 subscribers! The technical quality of your videos continues to improve. Sometimes you are starting to use a new technique with the text you show on the screen where you have a transparent background behind your text. This can help make the text easier to read. The first time I saw you use this technique there was a problem with my phone and I sent you a private eMail. The problem has never come back and now I am convinced that the problem was with my phone and completely unrelated to your video. Ever since I started watching your videos I have thought that you were very talented. Well that is all for now. I will be practicing my adjectives all week and probably also going back and reviewing older videos as well.

Muchas gracias. If you let me give you an unsolicited advice it would be: don’t let a grammar point stop you from speaking. Saying for instance: “el año pasado yo IR a Australia” it’s better than saying nothing, at least this way you’re producing the language 😉😉

Hi! Thank you for wonderful explanation. In your example of using bueno before a noun, and the rule is to drop the "o"...so in saying, "su hermana es una buena estudiante", it actually obeys the gender of what was being described, in this case "hermana", rather than the noun "estudiante"? I'm confused in this part.
@joniechavez5036
@joniechavez5036 Ай бұрын
To continue on my comment aboe, the last example in using bueno before noun, it obeys the gender of the noun before it, "profesoras". So I'm confused between the 2nd and 4th example. Please clarify? 🙏

Bueno y malo cambian el significado si van antes o después del sustantivo. Si digo: "él es un buen profesor", me refiero a la calidad de su tipo de enseñanza. Si digo "él es un profesor bueno", quiero decir que no tiene maldad. Por eso está el dicho "no es lo mismo un buen profesor que un profesor bueno".

@SpeakSpanishWithPaula

That’s an interesting point. Because they change meaning whether we use it before or after. The most common one is using it before the noun. El mismo carro (the same car). Por ejemplo: Tengo el mismo carro desde hace 2 años. I’ll trying to come up with a simple explanation to when to use after the noun or pronoun. Gracias ☺️

I'd suggest to think about correcting wrong pronunciation of those english sounds z as in 'example' or 'possessive' and also j as in 'adjective'. It's not a matter of an accent, those are phonetic errors. And as a teacher, I'm sure, you know the difference. Imagine native english speakers would say 'jugo naranja' with the wrong sounds: dzhugo narandzha. It's not an american accent of Spanish, it's not knowing how to read and pronounce english words.
