Today we're taking a look at a Formula One car Lewis Hamilton is pretty glad to never drive ever again in his F1 carreer, being the Mercedes W13. Although this car became very competitive at the end of the 2022 season after bringing big upgrades to the Spain Grand Prix.

This maybe was the worst hybrid merc but it is a stunning car and so unique. I love the body profile and colours are a amazing combination. For me, when selecting a model the tyre compound is critical. In my opinion almost all 2022/2023 models look best with the hard compound white side wall as it blends in best with most liveries. That's why I recently ordered the W13 French GP version. Great to see that Spark addressed the rear wing decal issue. Great review. Thanks.....

Great review! I actually just got this same model in the mail after issues with it getting lost and it came with a piece of the rear suspension broken off. Super unfortunate, but still a beautiful model!

I must say I'm totally in love with this model - and luckily, it seems Spark did address the rear wing decal issue on the Belgian and French versions of their 1/18th Hamilton W13.

might be an unpopular opinion but i really like how the W13 looks. the side profile looks really nice with the traditional “Silver Arrows” livery. Incredible review Jurian 👍

Just checked another video on "My car cave" channel showing the F1 2022 spark 1:18 models, including this Lewis Hamilton Mercedes W13. And I see the same decal issues as you are showing in your video. So you're not the only one Great video as usual. Love the little teases / 'troll' comments haha xD The W13 imo is one of the worst looking Mercedeses. I still dislike the red on the silver. And the car itself looks very high, both due to livery and the actual car shape (Car shape itself with engine cover due to the 'zero sidepods' are very ugly as well imo, and just dont look fast xD) I think the 2021 car was the best looking black mercedes but still don't like that one as well. Imo the 2017 and 2019 Mercedes were the best looking silver arrows. Those liveries were spot on.

Just take an exacto knife and run through the rear wing slot. Dab the the decal with some MicroSol on a Q-tip. Problem solved?!

I've got George Russell's Brazil GP win on pre-order. Really hoping they figure out something as simple as cutting those decals by the time that one is released. Also, I'd sat the W14 is probably a worse Mercedes lol.

Opened mine today and the rear decal has now been cut but unfortunately they haven’t done the Benz stars over the outlets on the cowling 😞
