GreCon spark extinguishing systems are used in industrial production processes to detect and automatically extinguish sparks. Dust fires and explosions, which occur, for example, in filters or silos, can thus be prevented. Such incidents cause severe property damage, interrupt production operations and endanger human lives. The reason can be sparks or burning embers caused when working with or drying combustible material and reaching plant areas at risk through the pneumatic and mechanical conveying systems. For this special risk, GreCon developed a system to detect and automatically extinguish these ignition sources in pneumatic exhaust systems before they reach filters and silos and cause a fire or explosion in these areas. This way, loss of production or destruction of factories by fire or explosions can be prevented.
