Man great channel,love the way you go by things step by step and how you go arrond the hurdles in your diy projects (S200 loved the itb conversion process). Loving the Porche step by step videos, great skill and know how from the shop guys,that " race-spec" harness will probably look clean. keep it up!!

You should do a video solely on an engine/chassis harness build. Not a glossed over, main-point-only video, but an in-depth look at what goes in to building one and the materials that they're comprised of. A video like that simply doesn't exist on the internet. Nothing even close. It's a shame, too, because that stuff is just so awesome to look at. Just a suggestion. RyWire, Wire-Worx or Chase Bays might be interested.

There something extremely satisfying about seeing that loom come together. Maybe it's because I've always had the deep-seated belief that wiring harnesses are made only by robots and wizards...

Man, amazing build. The quality of work they are doing is amazing. Great turbo choice as well... Yes, I would like one billet compressor wheel please! A nice fat Borg Warner EFR turbo would have also been great to see.

+NA6 driver I actually tried to get BW to send me an EFR to do a comparison test but they never got back to me. It would have been awesome to compare the two.

I am so glad I found these series. Thanks guys. Amazing to watch and well documented. For the people who like this: I can also recommend you AaronCake (restoring a 1976 Mazda RX-5 Cosmo) and Bad Obsession Motorsport (building a Toyota Celica GT-Four engine, gearbox, susp[ension etc into a 1980 Mini 1000)

Pete this is so cool, thanks for taking us on this adventure, these are great learning vids my brain is sucking it all in, side note there's freezing rain and the roads are terrible as I'm watching this video in my driveway in Toronto from my truck contemplating if I should go to work or stay home, I'm sure Dave's thinking the same thing, you lucky lucky dog enjoy the shorts weather.

I really enjoyed these rebuild engine videos because it gives an idea to the consumer of what the process is. However, I'm still waiting on that rotary engine build.

this is cool. just a quick thing. if you want to record welding. record it thru a piece of blue cellophane. or even just put a welders shield over the lens. that way ppl can see the technique involved

Any reason for using GTX with a 4 bolt outlet? Noticed the RWB build had the same, V-band outlet would be a better option.

+Kathy jago The intercooler that I have is aftermarket and a larger unit. That's why I didn't upgrade it, no need.

+Trevor Wray Transmission getting a full rebuild then when I get home I'll do a coilover conversion. Brakes are already very good so we'll stay stock with those.

Even just hiding that mil spec connector is a crime. They are too expensive to hide.

Not a technical question, but are you going to paint the engine and detail car while the motor is out? Seems like the perfect time to give a car this rare some needed attention.

+Edward Brearey The engine bay you mean? There's nothing to paint back there so I won't be doing that but I pulled the gas tank and cleaned every up front and washed the entire engine bay along with the oil coolers and all that.

It really depends on what you have done, a rebuild like mine including all the parts (pistons, cylinders, turbo, manifold, EMS, etc.) can run into the 30K mark, the engine rebuild itself depending on what you do is anywhere from $15-25K again depending on what you do.
