Conclusion of the video is: We have to be willing enough to speak to those who are wronging themselves and to speak when we see falsehood. Allah (swt) has commanded us to enjoin the truth and to say something when we see wrong around us in the right way, in a beautiful, gentle manner.

Really enjoying your series.. Today's episode was really relatable. In today's time we have the "don't judge me" generation.. Well atleast this is how it is here in South Africa.. Everytime you try to advise some one in a good manner, they ask not to be judged by you.. It's difficult to advise or correct people nowadays without them being nasty.. But still we should all do our abit for the sake of Allah (swt)..

I would say do you want me to tell you now or you do you want to have to explain to Allah why did you not listen. It's just your salvation that's on the line.

Abdullah ibn Abbas. The man they called Al-Bahr (The Sea) because of the knowledge and interpretation of the Quran. May Allah(swt) be pleased with him. Jazakallah Khair Ustadh.

I agree with what he said, but there is also that well known hadith on the authority of Abu Saeed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say, “Whoever of you sees an evil must then change it with his hand. If he is not able to do so, then [he must change it ] with his tongue. And if he is not able to do so, then [he must change it] with his heart. And that is the lightest [effect of] faith.” (Recorded in Muslim)

I believe the point was the importance of speaking out. The Hadith you mention is absolutely true, but notice the decreasing of faith from each. We should always do our best to speak out and guide those around us. Hope this makes sense. Try giving the video another watch, InshaAllah this particular story will be more clear :]

+yaladdin86 the Hadith is absolutely not related to those people, because this Hadith mentions the ones who want to speak up, however those second group mentioned in the video, are the ones who don't even wanna speak up and tell the truth, they just wanna ignore it, they don't even wanna try with their tongue nor with their hearts, hope you get my point :) salam

Encouraging words, Alhamdulillah. It gives one hope during isolating moments where it just feel like 'what's the point anymore'. As with many others in the comments I think, it becomes intimidating to step in and advise others - particularly when it's your parents and older siblings and all they do is yell at you and call you nasty names while telling you to mind your own business. But even then, as disheartening as it is a lot of the time, it's nice to know that there are others out there who are with you in your struggle and who share your pain, and that maybe just maybe this might be the thing that sends you to Jannah..

When I give advice I give with love but I let them know if you ignore it you will suffer greatly and I will not help you. Tell them Allah said to protect yourself and your family and you tell me to mind my own business. Ask them do you believe that is part of the quran. Do they believe in Allah or are they hypocrites. Do you think if the messenger of Allah saw you would he recognize you as a Muslim?

Gosh this was scary. I see many wrongs and get many opportunities to speak up (to all faiths) but don't always do so, sadly. When I do, I feel better (..not such a hypocrite, even when it changes nothing). Some appear not receptive so I restrain myself. But Allah Knows Best. It must be done with wisdom and training incase I get too blunt. Sometimes I don't care enough or just lack plain old guts! Need to learn. Not dawah as such but the right and wrongs approaches

Notes from this video Speak up! Ayyah mentioned: A'araf verse 163 Teacher :ibn abaas r.s (czn/uncle of rasool) Student:qatada r.s Qatada was a student of ibn abbas . Nabi pak used to pray for increase in knowledge for ibn abbas . Ibn abbas was a scholar . One day qatada found ibn abaas crying so hard in his room so he went inside but kept a distance from him until he felt that coming closer to him and comforting him would be okay. So he came closer and ask what is it thata causing u to cry o father of abbas (he also had a child named abbas) so ibn abbas said that whats causing me to cry is this (he pointed to quran that was on his lap .qatada read the pages and it was surah a'araaf he was reading so qatada started reading the pages until hegfot to the ayyahs his teacher was talking about . Those ayyahs were about "bani israel" Ayyah: surah a'raf ayyah 163:And ask them about the town that was by the sea; when they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: when their fish came to them openly on the Sabbath day, and did not come to them on the day they had no Sabbath. Thus We made a trial for them, for they used to rebel against Allah's command Next ayyah 164:When some of ˹the righteous among˺ them questioned ˹their fellow Sabbath-keepers˺, “Why do you ˹bother to˺ warn those ˹Sabbath-breakers˺ who will either be destroyed or severely punished by Allah?” They replied, “Just to be free from your Lord’s blame, and so perhaps they may abstain.” Next ayyah 165:When they ignored the warning they were given, We rescued those who used to warn against evil and overtook the wrongdoers with a dreadful punishment for their rebelliousness. Allah s.w.t is talking about the bani israel when Allah commanded them to not eat fish from the sea on the day of saturday . To test them ,on the day of saturday, big fish would swim in the sea and fishes would be on the surface of sea . And on the other normal days , the fishes would be gone. So three groups arises from banu isreal , 1: group f wrong doers 2:group of people who did not do the sin but did not warn the wrong doers 3:group of ppl who actually warned the wrong doers So the group on the left (2 category ppl) said the group of the right (3 category ppl) that why are u advising the wrong doers Allah s.w.t is gonna punish them anyways ( wrong doers would spread thier nets in the sea on saturday and they gave the excuses that allah forbade us from fishing on saturday but we are just spreading/leaving our nets here. The would collect all fish on the next day) so the believers replied with what has been said the 3 ayyah . The student asked why are you crying over this? So ibn abbas replied that Allah mentioned the punishment of wrong doers and mentioned the blessing of the beleivers who stopped them . He (Allah s.w.t) did not even bother mentioning the ppl who did not commit the sin but never advised the wrong doers ( he was afraid that he might not be among those ppl who saw bad happening around them but did not do anything about it) So qatada(student) to comfort him (cz he was crying so hard) said that atleast those ppl would not be punished. So ibn abbas knew that th student is trying to comfort him so he gave his student two robes and smiled. Conclusion: We should be good and also advice ppl to good . And advice ppl not to do bad .

How many times do i need to warn them for me to do my part? I tell my brother and my friends to pray and stop sinning but they don't listen. Do i need to reapet it ALL THE TIME or just from time to time? I do tell them from time to time. I send them videos aswell from time to time and show them ayat from the Quran.
@izydoesit19 жыл бұрын
ahmedw5 My advice would be time to time. But with patience, a smile and sincerity. If you see them attacking you with words, just smile and say "Peace" "Salam". Try again in a week or two. Nothing happens overnight. So it's a test of patience. I am advising myself first as I'm writing this. May Allah(swt) make us of the People of Quran and give us taqwa. Ameen.

This man did a pagan ritual and protested for the lgbt. Dear brothers and sisters in Islam I do not advise taking knowledge from this man until he repents.
