I’m an ABC/K who is very grateful to be able to speak all my mother tongues (Canto, Mando, and Korean) fluently. I think sometimes I do (subconsciously) take it for granted but I’m reminded every time I hear another ABC struggle to speak. I’m definitely proud of our heritage and I encourage ABCs to speak more Chinese. You’ll see that everyone around us just respects us so much more for the effort we make. 😊

Awesome to see ABC communicating. I am ABC from Australia with sui sui sik gong gwong tung wah. That's practically what I answer to any Canto's speaking to me. Keep the dream alive!!!

Being an ABC too this is so relatable 3:43, cough cough Australian born Chinese. So amusing to watch, I’m always watching some Canto YT vids to improve, you guys definitely helped 😉

One tip I found improving Cantonese is if you have some relations with family members over WhatsApp. Force yourself only using audio messaging and send the messages only when you get it grammatically correct and over time I think you'll improve and naturally try speak it more to native speakers in daily life..

As a Hongkonger, I think you speak Cantonese really well!! However, there is no such thing as Primary 7 (七年班) in Hong Kong, we normally say it as Form 1 (中一). I hope it helps!!!! :)

i'm also cantonese but from canada and i feel a disconnection from the language so I am currently watching a bunch of canto vlogs to improve my cantonese :) thanks for helping!!! and also- i changed my iphone keyboard settings to cantonese so that i can do speech to text and somewhat try to learn how to read/write :D alsooooo i just subbed to u :))))) because i'm finding more people like me! we acc have so much in common!! canto ✅ kpop ✅ BLACKPINK ✅

I like your accent, girls! I speak just like you, with a very similar accent, cause I grew up speaking English and Spanish. Therefore, my native languages are actually English and Spanish. I barely read and write Chinese. I love your video, cute kids! 😊

I can tell it was so hard for both of you speak Cantonese. You don’t speak Cantonese at home when you talk to your parents. The more you speak, the more fluent you can get. Where are you ? Chicago?? You speak poopoo very good in Cantonese😅

1:23 去咗一個好D的學校 (hui cho yat go how D ge hok hau) hehe, cantonese missing somehow :) highschool = 高中 (gow chong) 大學 (dai hok) = university 2:28 btw, recommend NOT to go to mini so, its a rip off of uniqlo by china 3:27 very = 超 (chiu) 6:09 環保 (wan bow) = recycle

Your Cantonese accent is actually very good for someone who uses the Toisan dialect at home.

@@lisamei they're all hopped into the Mirror hype. But to be honest, I think Edan Lui's the only decent member. Anson Kong comes to a close second. Just saw Anson Kong in a new Hong Kong movie called "Back Home". Bai Ling plays his mother
