Spearfishing Ender & History Diving (Vancouver Island, BC)
Welcome back everyone! Does anyone actually read these descriptions? lol
Anyways, in this adventure I meet up with Jenna, Anthony, Flossy, Clayton and Garret and go explore Gabriola Island. My intentions were to go spearfishing but I forgot my gun... Oh well! Clayton speared a nice lingcod which provided a great meal for all. We also dove the iconic Gabriola Passage and did some amazing freediving and snorkeling. The next day, Clayton and I did some diving off Cole Island near Victoria, BC and hit the Nanaimo River on the way back. We found some pretty sweet old bottles.

that was honestly such a good dive weekend for me! ling cod and all the bottles haha! Need to do it again soon!

OMG Mr. Smiley, hehe you TOTS scored on huge LCod and bottles whollllly heck. Can hardly wait to see what you find with the detector in months ahead. Sorry to hear about your motor. What else is knew in this day and age...pple non stop stealing & sabotaging others property (esp. anything govt. owned) to no end since the pandemic. I have so much content to catch up on still from you all.

Clayton ... my gawd where does he have all this energy to commute from Valley to VI then all the lakes & clean ups = content, content, content. I am still so behind in watching so many vids...I tell everyone to check out Garrets channel too as sets vid majority to music & like all of you...captures stunning footage to share. Thanks for another great video! I really enjoy your channel. I'm going to be moving to the Island and would love to learn how to free dive. Are there any local clubs/introductory courses/gear stores near Victoria that you would recommend for someone who is an experienced swimmer but new to free-diving/spearfishing?

That's exciting! Enjoy the journey. Easy 2 West freediving is a store in Victoria. My friends Laury and Fred own it. I'd recommend them for sure, great people and they have great equipment you can touch and feel before purchasing. Chris with Bottom Dwellers Freediving runs both harvesting and freediving programs. I have an educational playlist and also cover a lot of the harvesting regs and best practices. You can also check out this free online freediving course out!

What do you recommend brand of wetsuit?

It's hard to recommend a brand at each suit might fit you differently. For example, Espealon is best for tall skinny people as Beauchat is best for short stalky people. Are you in Vancouver?
