You could have them react to someone going through a mission of Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts and see what they think of the stealth and stalking focused gameplay. Hell, show the. The breaching in the old Republic Commando game which was modelled on real life SWAT tactics under advice from an actual SWAT officer.

Either silencer or suppressor is technically right. They were first invented and copyrighted under the name of a silencer and if you describe what they do its suppressor. People who correct on that are a bit overexcited, but dont get me started on the people who say clip instead of magazine.

2:30 There’s actually a soldier by the name of Marco Kroon, a dutch KCT Operator (like the green berets) who had his team with him but he decided to handle the mission himself because he’d had to assasinate a high valuable target. He took on local clothes, carried a pistol with him and just went inside a little town and shot him.

I've watched all of these guys reactions. And I love how one was a Ranger and the other special operations and they were deployed almost 10 years apart, and nothing has changed in the military spec ops other than technology. And they both pretty much know everything the exact same. Shows how well and consistent our military men and women are trained.

@Marko Ingram - As a Recon Marine Veteran who's gone through SERE, everything what Israel and Cameron stated is accurate - despite briefly going over SERE as there's different levels. On that note, imagine being slapped by a cute woman? Better yet, imagine witnessing a simulated rape scenario - that's designed to make you break mentally. On that note, I deployed overseas before them as they served after. 10 years apart or not? Nothing really changes other than the technology like you said. Although, there are times when our ROE changes due to politics (i.e., civilians trying to humanize Mil-Cab that's handled at the Pentagon).

When they were talking about the AK operating system it was actually the AS VAL on screen which is operated completely differently because of the integral suppressor, the gas block isn't housed in the same fashion (it's a short stroke gas piston unlike the AK platform - to compensate for the low pressure of the 9×39 cartridge itself), the weapon is striker fired rather than hammer fired (think glock vs colt), and most of your older soviet era weapons I think they were referring to were actually first milled before they were stamped, but then stamped because it was cheaper and lighter. All of that being said they aren't weapons experts by far and nor do I claim to be, but that makes their ability to identify and explain all of these weapons all the more amazing - and on top of that know survival skills, tactics, and how to maintain a cool head on top of it all - one thing is for certain; SOF are badass.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier kinda had something like this. Couldnt strip the weapon to just an upper/lower but you could switch out trigger systems and optics and braces and foregrips and all that. Loved that game

12:13 they have gun safety stuck in their brain so hard, they notice if the gun is on safe or not in the gun customisation tab in game. Then you know they have a lot of experience 👏👏👏

It's because of the fact that people shoot themselves by accident a lot because the gun safety was off If you watch Band of Brothers, a Private or a Sergeant in Easy Company dies after accidentally shooting himself whilst cleaning his LOADED Luger (Sure he was in a warzone but that Luger was nothing more than a souvenir for him, not a combat weapon) And gun safety is probably amongst the Top 3 in military Having safety on, removing the magazine and bullet in chamber, NEVER EVER pointing a gun at someone you are not going to kill, whether it be loaded or unloaded

This is such a good review of what you need to be doing. So many of us going into the game thinking it’s a combat sim so let’s just shoot and scoot. Then you learn the loot part which is where the game mechanics play their part in making players complacent. You get that dopamine hit of a good loot spawn then you drop your guard and get the Old Skonion popped.

I typically don't loot until most PMC's are dead or extracted. I just make a mental note of where they are and eventually try and make my way back. The first 10 min or so is all hunting. I do this because I get sick of picking shit up only to drop it a min later because the other body had some cooler shit. I also find people scavaging my kills on the return. That's always fun.

If medical professionals are obligated to treat patients to the best of their abilities, then anyone/anything that stands in the way of that can be considered an enemy-- including the patient him/herself. Again though, it. was. a. joke. Even my logic here is a stretch, but that's just it, the joke does not have to abide by the strict rules of logic...

actually the official back story is the books, of which there are now 3 of them, ive only read one and it was very entertaining, you pick up a huge amount of references to the game and more. the game and raid series simply compliments the books.

There are 2 websites associated with the game, the escape from tarkov website and the battlestate games website, the books are located on the tarkov site.

Love you guys! Hope you guys read this --> Even though this is a survival game, it's also kind of a looter shooter. Reason the player kept looting bodies is because they sell the gear on the black market. So these people are more like scavengers than survivalist/soldiers

I've never seen a react video where the hosts explain a little bit about the game to the experts. Like explaining why is you character there to see what they think about the context, or pointing stuff like the comtacs were indeed comtacs and that type of stuff. Just basic knowledge about the game and giving more input to the experts than just the videos. Would love to see that.

I thoroughly enjoy these guys reacting and the series in general. I am really curious what their stories regarding mental health are. It is a very sensible and interesting topic. To hear from these guys how they dealt with it and if they have any words of advice would be really intriguing...Might be a good vid for another time...if it is alright with them of course. SERE was interesting times. I learned a lot during the training but I really tired when it was over. I also had to trash my BDUs I wore during it. I still have a fondness for blueberries to this day because that was the only fruit we could find to eat. The frogs, ants, and squirrels didn't do much to satisfy.
