David Cage meets David Lynch Edit: It's actually difficult for me to imagine what the experience of this game must be like WITHOUT having watched Twin Peaks. Impossible to overstate how much the tone, setting, several plot points, character archetypes, even the music and color palette, are all very directly inspired by it. Even little things like a character's hair turning white at a turning point in the plot, or a seemingly crazy weird old lady named after the inanimate object she carries around. The ending is actually a lot easier to comprehend once you realize everything is working on Twin Peaks logic. Whether or not it's wise for a game to essentially require a companion TV show in order to understand its plot is up for debate. I, for one, enjoyed my time.
