This week I share the behind the scenes collab with my Mom!!! We've been working hard on a new artist roll that we can't wait to share with you!

Beyond impressed! This is probably the billionth time you've been told that artistic ability runs in your family, but it's true! Your mom is an uncommonly skilled crafter, and the design and attention to detail are so good! We loved the peek into her classroom/workshop, too!

The bags are great but what I love more is how much you love and respect your mom. It’s a rare thing these days to see adults honor their parents in such a loving way. How blessed you two are to have one another. Keep up the love! Oh yeah, love the bags.

This collab is great! What a beautiful product ❤ Your mom could sell the pattern if she doesn't want to make them but still wants folks to have them. Not sure if there is a "stealing" concern there but in case you get overwhelmed with interest it's an option 😀

Hi Sandi, the first think I thought to myself is... WOW, when I saw the picture of you both, you do really look like sisters... awesome. Yes!! I need one of those pencil holders. I have over a hundred paint brushes and hopefully I will be ordering one. That was a great collaboration. Thank you for sharing, that was a great idea. Have a great weekend.

Hi Sandi! I have followed this channel for some time but now I find it’s just the best company while I’m working! Thank you for that! Please tell your mom the rolls are absolutely stunning and also check if she’d be up to selling the project so we could make one following her instructions. Maybe you two could create an online class for it? It would be great, too!

Really lovely Sandy! 💗 I've made myself lots of art bags and wraps because I never find what I'm looking for commercially. It's so nice having something custom for your work style. In my experience most of the elastics don't hold up well given how often you're opening an art case if you're working on things everyday. I've had a really good success with a combo of a tie closure with velcro. The only downside to velcro is if I'm out nature drawing...it startles birds and furry creatures. 😂 The plain tie works best.

Beautiful work!!! Love your mom's workspace, too. I tried making one for myself, but did not work out. Your mom's is definitely well done and 'workable'. Working with your mom is always great. I miss mine painfully and she sewed, too (among other crafts). I do think it's handed down the generations (my maternal grandmother created things, too lol) Thanks, Miss Sandi for another great post. Lovely.

Great artist roll. I thought maybe next years make the interior flap could be waterproof canvas. This would mean you could mix water colour or gouache paint on it like a palette and just wipe down when finished.

Sandy this is incredible. I have a canvas roll up very similar to this with all brushes in it. I purchased it in Philadelphia about 2 years ago. . Your Mom's is different in the sizing of pockets and slots. Mine is primarily just canvas rings/ loops that the brushes go in and you can roll it up and tie it at either end. I do love the Green canvas with deep pockets and the fact that your Mom has made yours where you can store many pencils in one slot/casing. God bless her and I hope to see her sell many. I would certainly purchase one.

Oh, I just heard the part about no custom orders. But maybe next year for the second launch you could encourage her to do one in light grey since all colours look good against it in terms of judging hue and value. Good luck to you both in this new enterprise!

I would love it if someone would design a back pack that completely folds out for artist with spaces for everything plien air. Just simple compact and everything at your fingertips. If only mum would put her mind to it. I know there are already some on the market but they are too bulky and have spaces that are hard to get things out of. Imagine undoing a zip right round and it all just folds out in front of you. Atm I just take out my Kippling and shove everything in it because its lightweight.

Sandi, I know you paint with both liquitex soft body acrylics and liquitex acrylic gouaches. When you mix colours do you ever mix soft body acrylics with acrylic gouache?
