Such a beautiful song and he did amazing. It's still hard for me to listen to it without crying. Lee Hi (it's pronounced as Hi,like hello) sang it at a show to honour Jonghyun and she stopped singing because she was crying. It's bittersweet because Jonghyun wrote this song and others similar to comfort us but he felt like he couldn't anymore and left us early. As a fan of SHINee since 2011 and Jonghyun biased,it's still hard but I'm glad i could be a fan during those years when he was still with us

This specific song has a special place in my heart ..the writer of the song, Jonghyun from Shinee who passed away (May his soul rest in peace) he was suffering and things were getting hard on him everytime..and yeah...we lost him...Jonghyun expressed his feelings and gave this masterpiece to Lee hi (original singer) San's way of singing it was so right...like you can feel that the song is deep and has a great and a conforting meaning He sang it the way it should be sung. So many emotions and feelings were poured.I'm proud of him

When you know the history of this song, the lyrics mean so much more Sadly i was unaware of this song until this cover, but i had read about Jonghyun and that is always so sad to hear about. And here comes our beloved Mountain, to remind you of his Lead Vocalist credentials. Choi Bros Supremacy exists of what this man can do, and not just when he harmonizes with Jongho Some of my fave Ateez b-sides are the softer ones and San especially rings out. You feel every ounce of emotion through him and it makes everything more poignant. Apparently he is singing this song to his younger self and being the perfectionist we know he is, it took like 2 days to record to his satisfaction, and Hongjoong said how proud he was of San and to work with him on this i shed more than a few tears and probably will continue to do so whenever i play this

When I tell y'all I was bawling 😭, omg. San is my ult bias, and doesn't even know that I exist, yet he decided to cover this song and put it out right now, at the exact time in my life that I needed it. My husband just had his major cancer surgery last month, he had a few set-backs, plus caught Covid in the hospital. He's home now and doing better, even though he's fell 2 times now. And the stress and worry I went through about his surgery and recovery, then Covid, and I was feeling like I'm not doing enough to take care of him (and our House and cats and dog), even though he keeps telling me I'm doing too much and wearing myself out. The lyrics alone spoke to my heart, then San's stunningly beautiful angelic voice and the raw emotion and heart that you could hear in his voice, it honestly felt like San was giving me a warm hug that I desperately needed right now. 💜 Sorry for rambling y'all, I was just trying to convey what this meant to me, and to say that y'all were spot on in saying that we all needed to hear this song. 😊 I've never been more happy that San is my ult K-pop bias, and I'm beyond proud of him right now. And yes, I've lost count of how many times I've listened to it since he released it. 🙃

Is it just me, or is the audio a little off? But this song always makes me cry. San has such a beautiful, emotional voice. Jonghyun was an amazing artist. The lyric “you did a good job” is what Jonghyun always wanted to hear. He wanted someone to tell him he did well.

this is one of those songs that i listen to when i felt suffocated and wanted a good cry. i recommend you listen to lee hi too. but san nailed the emotion of the song really well

Yeah I cried the first time I've listened to it and I cry every time i listen to it it's just so beautiful the vocals are beautiful it's just amazing

When I got the notification of San's cover I didn't know it was this song, because I didn't recognise the Korean title. And then the music started and for a few seconds I was like 'wait... I know this' and then it hit me. I can't listen to this song without crying so I haven't heard it pretty much since a little after Jonghyun's death. It's such a bittersweet feeling because the lyrics are so comforting but the memories are so sad at the same time. Especially now so short after his birthday. So while I'm crying, I'm also always smiling when I hear this song. And San managed to portray all these feelings in his voice so beautifully.

On the day this cover was released I cried the whole day.. his rendition was heart wrenching.

Idk if either of you are interested in other groups- But I definitely recommend OnlyOneOf, Xdinary Heroes and P1-Harmony- All three of these groups are very different from another, but they're all really fun- OnlyOneOf have very meaningful songs- Xdinaryr Heroes are a K-Band that does alot of rock type music- And P1-Harmony has a lot of catchy beats and funny moments- Hope this can help! lol
