Li Xiangyi & Fang Duobing's chemistry is indeed awesome. Their friendship ..... they put their life at the edge when the other suffers. Di Fei Sheng & Li Xiangyi being enemies ( not really) but Li Xiangyi being the only person Di Feisheng trusts . Di Feisheng & Feng Duobing are really protective towards Li Xiangyi & vice versa. I really miss this chaotic duo & their cute bickerings. This drama have a special place in my heart ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes, it was originally set that he would die in less than a month, but seeing him on the beach three months later means that the residual poison in his body has been eliminated.

My personal interpretation: 1. FDB and DFD arrive at the beach from different directions and stare at the same thing. 2. This isnt the kind of drama where you'd expect them to experience a shared hallucination. He really was there. 3. Doggo is super happy to see his hooman again. 4. A trail of clues is very in character for LLH, the little bastard 😂 5. LLH looks very healthy here, dare I say..... Cured?! This could be down to either the technique DFS taught him which healed his own meridians in the wedding room or LLH's shiniang finding him and potentially sacrificing herself for him. 6. The fadeout and how LLH disappears does not indicate death, as DFS and FDB also disappear. It represents the three of them finally achieving the ending they wanted where they can fade into obscurity and live peacefully away from the Sect politics.

I think Li Lianhua is really die. Fan Doubing and Di Feisheng, they dont see anything on the beach. The Li lianhua they and we see is only the memory or last moment when he still alive. And only the beach that Fang Doubing and Di Feisheng see. I think this ending can be opening for s2 (if its possible). And they can met again but with different era or we can say after they reincarnate. I would love if they switch position, Li Lianhua as Head of Evil Sect, Fan Doubing as Head of Sigu sect, and Di Feisheng as detective.

So many good dramas have finale open ended fall short of our expectations. But I think they found Li Lian Hua. Clue 1: His dog was wagging its tail having found his master. Clue 2: Li Lian Hua’s hair style & clothes changed & he still wore the mink cloak which wasn’t what they last saw him. Clue 3: Because of his poisoning, he’s still cold, can’t really see but he can hear them & smiled. He can also hear the waves & feel the sun. I like to think they found him & took him away to a safe place to heal, that’s why in the end the beach is empty. In the novel, the 2 found him but his arm was partially paralysed & he can’t see well, his memory scramble from the poison but he is happy in secret at fishing village & with Fang & people looking after him. He broke his sword because in this state, Swordsman Li XiangYi is gone. He went away in ep40 maybe to die without people seeing him deteriorate or into madness from Bicha poison.

The ending was up to our own imagination since it is an open ending. The first time I watched it, I believed Li Xiangyi had already passed away, and it was a flashback during his final moments. The empty beach view signified that. However, I would also like to believe that Fang Duobing and Di Feisheng actually met him and stayed with him until his final moments. For me, from the beginning, it was already kind of hinted that he would eventually pass away. Despite the ambiguous ending, it is totally worth watching and definitely one of the best dramas of 2023. 🥰

They pan out of the beach view without Li Lianhua so that makes me think that he did pass away. I don’t think they saw him at all, it seems more like a flashback to what Li Lianhua saw at his last moments. I heard that the production team had the special episode open ended so it’s up to the audience to decide whether he lives or not.

Quite an ambiguous ending but my take on this bonus 彩蛋 is Li Lian Hua is definitely alive on the beach. However panning out an empty beach in the next scene symbolises that he WILL die eventually due to the poison. Which isn't so sad because he reunited with Fan Duo Bing and Ah Fei at the end and have them by his side when he does die... A bittersweet ending but at least he won't be alone when he goes and there's closure for his friends 🥲

I don't think it symbolizes dying. They all fanish with the tide. Meaning they now have the life of freedom, just the 3 of them. As for the world Lianhua is dead, so he can be in peace and forget his past. As for the poison, Fang too has yangzhouman and got boost in the pit, so I think he can at least give Lianhua more time.

Não morre. Ele estava em uma vila de pescadores, só que com algumas deficiências devido ao veneno, tem uma cena excluída onde o Di Feisheng está debaixo da neve em uma rua e vê alguém e fica emocionado, provavelmente ele viu o Li Lianhua, no livro o Di Feisheng se aposenta do mundo das artes marciais e vai viver com ele para cuidá-lo (a China é muito sensível a este tipo de conteúdo, é dois homens vivendo juntos não passaria na censura), o Fan Duobing também ajuda a cuidar do Li Lianhua. O final aberto foi a melhor opção.

There’s a possibility it’s not an illusion that the 2 sees but just 2 different times. Like the scene we see of Lixiangyi was way before Fang duobing and Di feisheng showed up. :( but I will gladly believe that they found him~

Yep, pretty much that they really found him, but as he is now threat to the emperor, it's death to the world and third life with only friends. Hence the found the candy on dead. Would want to know how he got cured though, but since they want us to decide what the ending is 😅

Because he is alive in book as well and that last scene has enough proof that he is alive for me. That´s though up to anyone how he is cured, as book apparently also just states he was saved by a fisherman.

I take this ending as Li Lianhua is alive and well, and the three of them will continue their journey as best friends forever.😊 When I was younger, I didn’t like open ending and wanted the official stamp on a happy story. But live is about what we make it out to be and what we believe in. And, I don’t need to convince others, either.

Nem um pouco, ele era budista e praticava o desapego, ele poderia ter cometido suicídio para abreviar o sofrimento, mas não fez, por causa das suas crenças e cultivo. Ele não queria ser uma carga para ninguém, por isso escolheu viver sozinho. Visto que já tinha resolvido os seus problemas, mas no livro vão encontrar ele, o Di Feisheng nunca parou de procurar, visto que ele era sua única obsessão e fraqueza, e o sentimento que ele sentia pelo Li Lianhua extrapolava a amizade, espero que tenha percebido isso.
