My grandfather died in Vietnam. He is shown 13:05 and 13:28. My father never got to meet his dad, and I never got to meet my grandfather. Seeing him in a video really brings me some comfort in a strange way. Thank you for uploading this video.

My late Father proudly served in the Special Forces for 29 1/2 years. His A-teams were A-234 (5th SFG) from 1967-1969 and A-122 (12th SFG) from 1972-1995. Miss him every day.

nice video, i like'me this olds videos from 50's & 60's , please upload more videos of THE BIG PICTURE or above the VIETNAM WAR like: us army advisor in vietnam, the third challenge (unconvencional warfare) and many others. Thanks and greetings from Mexico.

@dubrules It's mislabeled at the NARA. This is most definitely not from 1974. catalog number in the 500's means its from the early 1960's.

"The Big Picture" series was produced between 1951 and 1962. US Army Special Forces had not been created until 1952.

This piece was broadcasted in 1962, some of its parts, including snippets of 10th Special Forces Group, were filmed in 1959.

@andreasegde Jane paid a heavy price for that photo and the broadcasts she made, she'll spend the rest of her life trying to explain, she's said she's sorry for the picture, but takes pride in doing propaganda broadcasts. There's a line between activism and treason, staged or not Jane knew she was crossing the line, she was so blinded by her activism she never once suspected the North Vietnamese were also lying
