We show what Special Missions Aviators do in daily operations. Special Missions Aviators can perform a wide variety of missions. Applicants to this AFSC are expected to learn a lot about flight, gunnery, maintenance, and aircraft operations. This is a competitive Air Force career to get into.
Training for this AFSC (1A9X1) takes place in Lackland, Texas.
Special Missions Aviators (AFSC 1A9X1) entry requirements:
US Citizen or Resident Alien
Pass an Aircrew Medical Exam
ASVAB Score: 60 General
ASVAB Score: 60 Mechanical
Extensive background check, including credit score.
Must be between the ages of 17 and 42.
Between 57.5 and 80 inches in height
