The Iranian retaliatory strikes were almost entirely for show. They were meant as a deterrence against any further attacks. That's why they gave a heads-up to beforehand. Governments and militaries then responded to the situation. Had absolutely nothing to do with Israel being supernaturally delivered from a serious attack since that wasn't Iran's intention.

I am reminded of the hellish nature of war. Currently, reading a book about WW2. It's the stories of soldiers and citizens who experienced it first hand. We can not possibly understand if we haven't been affected by it. My heart goes out to the soldiers and the people who suffer because of it.
