The frame was grit blasted at a local shop to remove all the paint then sanded to 600 grit. The worn part of the rear stay was welded to fill the hole and build up the wall thickness. (I know the weld filler is just a simple Al-Si alloy (4043) and not the heat treatable Al-Mg-Si (6061) that the frame is built from and will not be as strong as the original tubing but it should suffice). SprayMax 2 part epoxy primer, wet sanded to 800 grit; after that, 2 coats Montana Gold colour with 800 grit wet sand then 2 coats SprayMax 2part epoxy clear coat. Use a proper mask with VOC filters. You should not be able to smell any solvents. Particulate only filters such as N95 are not appropriate for spray painting.
