Bird syncopates flawlessly! I've got a legend 4, had it for 18 years I think. Different than this with EMG-HZ pups. It was my first good bass and made me a better player in short order. Great neck for my left hand, lighter than the previous knock off I had, sounds phenomenal. Got it new for less than $600CAD. Sidebar: I took a close look at a much more expensive Spector later. Can't recall the model. But it seemed that my Legend had a noticeably better fit and finish than that expensive one. Maybe I'm just trying to justify my cheapness😆

I just had to share that I watched this video in January and purchased a Legend 4 classic a few weeks later. Thank you so much for this video. It compelled me to find my favorite bass from the local shop. I brought it to a jam session with some VASTLY more experienced musicians and everyone loved it.

I love how the Spectors sound. I first found out about them from Billy Sherwood (current bass player of Yes and a longtime progressive rock producer). I've thought about getting another five-string in the future and Spector is one of the brands I've got my eye on.

So I got this model about a year ago and I love this bass. Im a for personal enjoyment player but it feels and sounds great and the price is also fantastic. As to your comments on the ability to do some maintainace on the tuning keys heres a little story. In december our house got hit by a tornado and water had gotten onto my bass, two or the tuning keys got wet and by the time we were settled enough that I could play again they were getting ceased up. By being able to unscrew and get to the cogs I was easily about to clean a bit and effectively relubricate the workings. Back to smooth easy mobility and they are still completely reliable. I grew up in upstate New York and and bud of mine actually works for Spector now, Im glad to finally own one and it even as their entry level bass its well crafted, Im super happy.

The Tone Pump Jr actually has 12db of boost and cut. But I agree, a notch would be better. The Tone Pump Jr is different from the Tone Pump that the TP has a trim pot on the preamp itself to vary the output. Johnny April of Staind runs his Legend with everything wide open, so the two of you like that setting best. Lol Glad I found your channel! And yes I subscribed. And the parrot rocking out was fantastic!

Tone pump jr and tone pump are both -12 db bass -4treble no center detent if I'm not mistaken then are both made by another company based in the czech republic for spector. Love my spectors my spector family consists of a older spector q4 pro (older model slab body 2 emg 35hz humbuckers originally had a emg bts 2 band pre amp now has a 18 volt darkglass tone capsule and gotoh dual battery box and a hipshot gb7 extender) , 2007 Rebop 5 dlx ex (zebrawood) came with emg 40hz and non trim tone pump (now has emg bqc 3 band) 2019/early 2020 Spector Euro 5lt violet burst matching headstock ash wings (not alder ) emg 40dc (swapped out for 40dcx) and spector tone pump. Honestly I pick up my old q4 more then my euro 5lt and Rebop 5dlx. Good review man.. also god bless you and happy new year man.

Excellent review. Concise & good information. Loved the slap! I have the 5 string Legend Classic with a quilted maple top & I love the thing. So much so that I ordered the 4 string version with a walnut burl top & cannot wait for it to arrive! I did have a chance to try out a few Standards & was not impressed with them. My guitarist in my band made the observation that they did not punch through the mix well. The Classic however, punches right through. Thanks again & great review.
