Nice playing and sounds as good or in some cases better than basses costing far more. When both pickups are full on, you can hear the entire frequency range, nothing is missing. Ya can't go wrong with Spector!

Definitely active. Pickups are passive but the preamp is active.

Nice review, I own the black cherry 4 string model and really like the tone from that Genz Benz in the video. Your playing is great. I like the first riff you played a lot. The 2 band eq does allow for a lot of mid range which is good, I do wonder how it sounds to the Tone Pump in the Rebop thought.

Spector euro is the best bass I ever play including ken smith

Spectors are renowned for being heavy. Just saying. Individual instruments will always vary in weight due to wood differences, but the high-mass hardware and wood choice for most Spector basses aren't light. They sure do make the instrument sound good though!

Holding different tunings is going to depend mostly on the gauge of strings you use, the scale length, and the machine heads. For Drop C, look into a set with an E string of 105 or maybe 110. Be warned though: with strings that thick, playing in standard will mean lot's of tension, and that means strain on the neck and a higher probability of snapping a string.

I don't see the point of these. What you should get in a budget range is a slightly watered-down version of the daddy, and this sounds no better than a bass half its price. It sounds nothing like a Spector. It's just the name on the headstock, and that's not enough. I don't want the name - I want the sound, and this bass doesn't do it.
