Romulus: “Citizens of the newly founded city of Rome. After many efforts and sacrifices, we have managed to definitively establish ourselves in the Peninsula. Therefore, there is something important that I want to announce to all of you... Although our relationship with neighboring peoples may not be completely friendly, we shall never cry out for war. We are people of peace and we do not long to make any conquests. As long as we have breath left in our bodies, my brother and I shall govern defending equality, justice and respect for other peoples and religions. And now, my beloved brother Remus has a few words to share with us. We listen, brother" Remus: "According to our latest observations, the female population of the city is too small for the birth rate to be maintained..." Romulus: *Doom music kicks in*

Remus: "Have you decided what our city will be, brother?" Romulus: "Of course, brother. It shall be that heavenly garden that the Jewish merchants mention in their stories. A unique paradise that will beautify this land rotten with violence. A place where war does not exist. A place where there are no oppressors and oppressed. No one will be more graceful than anyone else. Men shall love each other as brothers and the most beautiful women will make love to each other like lovers. Our city shall prosper with the peace symbolized by trade. And one day... one day it will occupy all corners of the Earth. And that city...that paradise...will be called...Roma" Remus: "...That's the stupidest name for a city I've ever heard in my life." Romulus: *Stabs Remus* "SHUT UP!!!"

It's funny how the Roman kingdom was ended by someone trying to retain absolute power being overthrown by senators led by someone named Brutus. And the Roman Republic's end came after someone tried to gain absolute power being overthrown by senators led by someone named Brutus.

Honestly I am quite convinced that at least part of this Roman period is true. Sure, maybe some kings are missing and not being mentioned, and kings we do have are cerdited with some deeds they actually didnt do, but I am quite convinced these 7 kings did exist and ruled over Rome and were the most significant ones of roman kings. I am more on doubt about Aeneas, but thats way different case.

I think it is often thought that the first 4 kings are apocryphal, again filling in the glorious virtues praised by the Romans, but it is often also seen that the 3 last kings are real, as we have real evidence for the rise of Junius Brutus and it makes a lot of sense.

I agree, the odds of them having such long lived kings is unheard of, that stuff didn't start happening till the 1600s, but back in the BC time, people died from the wind. I mean, France had so many royal deaths that they put a newborn on the throne in the middle ages and had to find a replacement real fast.

Hello Mr. Spectrum, I don't know your plans for future videos, but a suggestion if you're low on ideas is a video where any major corrections to a monarch video are addressed. For example you mentioned you would have Henry VII higher if the English list was remade. Just generally listing some of the people who you feel you ranked too low or too high in the rankings would be interesting to watch. Thank you for all you do.

I dont agree with any of this. Rome has been founded right between rich Etrurian cities and rich greek Neapolis (Naples). And tried to make a profit from their economic exchange and trade. Nearby cities like Tarquinia and Veii didnt like that at all. And that was the only reason for war, not women, slaves and other bullshit. Just a trade, money and power, just like today.
