Danielle Urton still Mr. Plummer is in love with her, for 53 years now, although he is married to another woman, Julie is the love of his life. Julie is more private, she married that old and ugly guy, go figure. But she admitted being in love with him when they met for the 1st time in The Sound of Music

They are much better off being not married to one another but having the type of love that deepens and matures into the tightest of friendships. Plummer needed Elaine to stop him drinking himself to death; Julie wouldn't have been able to do that. Blake Edwards featured Julie in movies that really stretched her acting abilities (and he wasn't ugly when they first me, though not as handsome as Plummer - no one could be).

@@elsaesteves no, the flower mostly grows in GERMANY, BUT ALSO IN POLAND, SERBIA AUSTRIA AND ITALY, it is so funny ROGER and HAMMERSTEIN USED THE EDELWEISS AS A SONG AGAINST THE NAZIS, in WW II the GEBIRGSJAEGER, the bavarian elite troop all wore the EDELWEISS on the lapel. my great grandmothers cousin was one of them and died as one of them. she had one in almost every unit, PANZER, U-BOOT, FALLSCHIRM-JAEGER, but for sure not one who song EDELWEISS [ in Latin --[-Leontopodium nivale], in English or German. and yes you are not permitted to pick one if you could even clime to the altitude of 9,000 feet !!

It’s a song written by Rogers and Hammestein wrote just for the movie... so yes, it’s not a song the Austians know...

@@michaelturman1397 I went to Switzerland many times and they also had Edelweiss. Believe me florists have them hidden and they cost a fortune. This florist was in Interlaken Switzerland.
