Hello, Teacher , I have a question. I have learned the difference between the sounds ɔː and ɑː, but I tend to always pronounce ɑː instead of the other one. So I have some concerns: Will this affect the way I write? Will it affect how others understand me? 😞

Hi, in general, this is not going to affect how people understand you. In some places in the US, these two sounds have merged and people use ɑ for both sounds. It's only really an issue if you use ɔ where it should be an ɑ sound. It shouldn't affect your writing, either, as the spelling of ɑ is typically letter O and the spelling of ɔ can be many different vowel letters.
