Baseball ,cricket and hockey are crazy , what allows it to achieve that speed is that the force and speed applied on these balls are so high that it increase the velocity when it rebounds ( the batter could be swinging the racket/club/bat at 50mph but the ball may leave at 150mph ) You don't realise how powerful our legs already are and that footballers train for this as a weekly task , its also crazy that the average speed of a football kicked on a match is 90mph. Golf balls are light , if you swing hard enough they will soar. You know how there extremely hard , they're designed like that because it fully converts the energy into kinetic energy instead of deforming and wobbling about when its hit , its also a small area of impact for all the energy to be transfered to. The badminton one does actually travel at that speed , go look up a video of a badminton match and see how they start, the video will show that the ball looks like it's going fast as soon as the racket hit the ball but then slows down so fast that it seems its slow , the reason why its like that is because the mesh on the back of the ball creates so much drag at that speed that it slows down from 350mph to 85mph In less than 13 milliseconds. At i said , if you put a extraordinary amount of force into a small object , it will shoot off and if its extremly light that makes it even more powerful. As you can see badminton was the smallest and lightest ball here and reached 350mph. CRAZY😮
