Alan, very well done with the 21K views of the first one and thanks for the fun of this precisely timed sequel. Not sure what speed you've chosen, but very convincing and most enjoyable... the end unfolds a bit like waking up from a pleasant dream! Kind regards, Bob.

Thanks Bob. I'm pleased that you enjoyed the fantasy trip. All but one were 1.25/1.5 times, the exception being 1.75. Kind regards Alan

Haha, very nice Alan, was that just X2, didn't look too excessive to me lol. Regards, Brian.
@Parsound5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian. No, only 1.25/1.5 with just the distant blue King at 1.75. The sound distorts at anything more. Regards Alan
@SYKAROST5 жыл бұрын
Yes I've tried that myself ..... Only works well with silent movies. Hopefully your explanation will benefit those who missed the point lol. Cheers, Brian.

Didn't matter to me that some of the clips were speeded up, I just enjoyed watching the locos. I'll never forget the time on the NYMR returning from Goathland to Pickering being pulled by the Sir Nigel Gresley...
@Parsound5 жыл бұрын
Actually they were all speeded up on April 1st Gordon. Pleased that it brought back happy memories.
@johnsergei2 жыл бұрын
None were speeded up, the sound is normal speed. 1:18 is probably the fastest but it's only doing about 45 MPH.
@matthewpalmer20495 жыл бұрын
Most clips look like they have been sped up and I know that, as the gwsr won't run over 25mph going into Cheltenham racecourse Station. And I should know as I'm a volunteer there.

They were all speeded up, on April 1st!

Beautiful steam engines

The whole limited speed limit thing is ridiculous! If your track meets the standards you should be able to run at the speeds the tracks and carriages are good for.........ok maybe not mainline full speed with super old pregrouping coaching stock but certainly 35-40mph at least. 45 or a little more for the mk1's would probably be sufficient as well.
@DanielW34405 жыл бұрын
Not without central door locking you're not.
@steamgent45925 жыл бұрын
@@DanielW3440 and that's stupid to apply modern standards to vintage equipment!
@DanielW34405 жыл бұрын
@@steamgent4592 I know, but apparently falling out of a moving train at 25mph is somehow alright.
@Parsound5 жыл бұрын
Don't forget that increased speed means increased wear and tear of track and rolling stock as well as increased fuel costs and all for no increase in revenue. Heritage railways just couldn't afford it.

@@Parsound You make a very good point, it is very easy to forget the hidden costs of these things.
