As Orcs and Goblins are released today I'd thought it would be a great time to offer two types of tutorials for the basic Orc Boy! We know there can be some pretty big units in The Old World so if you are itching to play a game and get your models painted fast, the first half of this video will get you there! Basic speed paint or slapchop table top level that you can use for your large blocks of Orc Boyz to free up your time for adding extra details for characters! And if you're looking to add that extra detail...just keep watching! Hope you enjoy this style of video and it helps you out with your Orcs!

(1) Black with grey seer zenithal spray (2) Plaguebearer Flesh on the skin (3) Wyldwood on the trousers, belt, buckles, leather items and axe handles (4) Aggaros Dunes - or whatever colour you prefer - on the "jacket" (5) Black Templar on the boots, vambraces and other details such as bows (6) Volupus Pink in the mouth (7) Leadbelcher on the weapons and armour panels (8) Zandri Dust on the teeth (9) Seraphim Sepia all over (or Agrax Earthshade failing that) (10) Warboss Green layer the skin (11) Skarsnik Green highlight the skin (12) Ushabti Bone layer the teeth (13) Zandri Dust - or whatever colour you prefer - layer the "jacket" (14) Catachan Flesh layer the trousers etc. (15) Ironbreaker scratchy highlight the metallics (16) Red (probably Mephiston?) in the eyes

I'm waiting for my orc battalion to arrive :). It's bolster my existing orcs and goblins force and I'm going to swap out one of the crew for the chariot to a boss, as I don't think I'll need three of those and I already have a chariot from the olden days :D. I'm always happy to see how other people tackle orcs. I will be repainting mine (and will probably have to do some arm swaps as I put some of them quite randomly when I was 11) and was looking for some ideas for the cloth and such. I'll be slapchopping them (my technique of choice for horde armies), so it's more of "which transparent paint I'll want to use". I'll be going for Militarum Green for the skin (as I do with my 40k orks and kruleboyz tester, I like that shade for orc skin), Aggaros Dunes (or speedpaint equivalent) for the tunics (thank you for that idea!), but probably something lighter than Wyldwood for the leather. Maybe not as light as Snakebite Leather, but I believe that Goregrunta Fur is somewhere between Wyldwood and Snakebite Leather, isn't it? As for wishlists: I'd like to see you tackle some goblin wolfriders, especially wolves with different fur colours :D

Those Orcs are definitely from the starter set that pitted them against the Empire. Two of my models had misshapen faces, no doubt an issue with the molds they were made from. I sold them off, as they were from my pile of shame. They were very nice models, though. Thanks for sharing your video with us.

I don't really see the second orc as the next step on a paint job of the initial orc. Instead, it looks like an entirely different orc from a different army, and would stand out very starkly from the rest of the mob if they were painted like the speed painted version.

Ye I feel I got the shade wrong the brown was just far too dark. I wanted sepia.
