In this video I speed paint the Necron Canoptek Scarabs from the Warhammer 40,000 Indomitus boxed set. This is an evolution to my first video in which I painted the Necron Warriors, as we use the same general recipe but add in some quick and easy OSL around the glowing orbs.

Really great work. Tesseract glow is such a pain in the butt to work with, the paint wants to separate at every turn

I painted one tester and left them on the shelf unfortunately. I will try to find time in the future to get them back out and paint them

This doesn't look like a glow at all. It looks like someone sprayed them with green paint. This is a common problem I see when people are painting OSL. You are painting light on faces that are facing AWAY from the light source, i.e. There isno way for light to actually illuminate there the source of light would have to be above the scarabs to illuminate them from on top like you did. At the same time you keep surfaces that directly face the light dark (around the ball/source). This just doesn't parse as light to a human brain.
