This is random, but I think one day your kids are going to be so happy that there are so many hours of you on film out there in the Universe. I’m 56 and would love to have more than 30 seconds or so of film of my dad. Sorry - I know that might sound strange. But you are so sweet and your kids get to see that forever. Sometimes I am making videos or voice recorders of my mom just to have them for the time, when she will not be alive. I am just thinking about such things sometimes and I appreciate these moments in advance. So, I am glad there is someone else who is having this in mind too... Yours was the best comment 💜

Okay so for the Tornado Siren thing...I live in South Carolina and at USC our mascot is the Gamecocks (fighting rooster) and so every friday at 11:45 our emergency siren goes off and its a rooster crowing. Both hilarious and terrifying

Jess, I don’t have time right now to watch the entire video (I will watch it when I do), but I had to comment when this vid posted because I saw the thumb nail and WOW. This color of chartreuse or whatever color your shirt is is absolutely INSANE on you. Like, it’s GOT to be part of your color palette because you look stunning in it.

The emergency siren tests are so interesting to hear about. I live in Arizona and have never heard of different places having emergency siren tests. We certainly don't have them in the several places I've lived in Arizona. We do get a few types of bad weather phenomena, like wildfires, flooding from monsoons, the VERY occasional small tornado, and heavy snow in the northern and higher elevation parts of the state. But we don't have any siren warning system for things like that, so it's super interesting to hear about that in other parts of the country. 😊

I'm so happy you mentioned the Essence lipgloss because I've been raving about that formula for years! I'm similar to your skin tone, and I've recently picked up the shade 09 Shadow Rose and paired it with NYX lipliner in Mauve (filling in the outer layer of my lips) and OMG, it's beautiful!! I haven't been this excited about a lip combo in a long time. It's the perfect Rosy Nude!!

Jess, about the Essence lip gloss: I wrote a comment before, but I just come back again, to tell you (and to all the good people who are following you), that I bought the essence lip gloss in color Gold Dust because of you, and OMG! 🤩 I AM SOOO GLAD every time when I buy something that you recomnend! It is always 10 out of 10! It was out of stock in my country so I purchased it from some Czech site and they lost it so I had to wait about 3 whole weeks to get it, but it was worth it! 💜

I was in Bismarck, ND for a Lakota language conference this summer. The night I got there, a siren went off. I wasn't sure if it was an air raid siren or a tornado siren. I asked the guy at the front desk and he said it was a test that they do every night at 9:00. I am glad they don't do that in Montana.

Personally I think SPF in a cheek product is great. Your cheeks tend to get more exposure to sun, so having that little extra is just nice. As long as you’re using SPF properly on your entire face i don’t see any issues

Fellow Hoosier here 👋🏼, we currently live in a little subdivision out in the country of a small rural town, and I don't believe they have a tornado siren test. However, growing up, I lived in a different little rural town, and they did a tornado test once a month on the first Saturday at 1pm. Crazy how different things are in the same state!!

Try the Moira cosmetics liquid brown liner - it’s a double sided one with felt tip and pencil (love their products) and it stays put for me and is a true brown! It’s difficult to find one bc they are either too dark or too red! Also sometimes I use my Nyx brow pen as a brown liquid liner too .. thank me later ❤

Our sirens here in Alabama have always tested on Wednesday for as long as I can remember and we live in an area that often gets hit with tornadoes. Spring time is scary around here lol

We definitely have tornado emergency tests here in Missouri. . Ours happens the first week of the month. Its either Monday or Tuesday. But just once a month. I'm loving the Benefit FanFest mascara. 🦃 (I came back several hours later, re-read my comment and about died at all of the misspelled words. I did not have my reader glasses on when sending it! 🫣 So sorry!)

I commented on the last video about the siren! In PA we have none. I think it's because we truly have no "natural disasters here" no hurricanes, tornadoes, wild fires, earthquakes, we don't get ridiculous hot weather, might get like a foot of snow but that's it. Truly an ideal place to live if you don't want any of that stuff haha

🦃 it's funny because I got that Bliss sunscreen quite a while ago when I was on the hunt for something new (since you put me onto the Paula's Choice one but I hated having to order it 😅) and I returned it after 3 days haha. I'm fair and it looked awful on me. I looked like I had a bad fake tan. I could not get it to work. I also just ordered the Tower 28 concealer and I hope it works out! Our tornado sirens here in OKC go off at noon every Saturday (unless there is sketchy weather at that time). I grew up in Kentucky and that didn’t happen there.

Just found out last night that I am pregnant with my third child. Not sure how to feel about it because I’m not in the best season of life or of my marriage, but what helps these intrusive thoughts is that I know children are a blessing from God. Never had any “emergency” sirens, both in NJ or FL, but i remember in my hometown the fire station alarm was so loud you could here it throughout the entire valley. It was an older station so the alarm wasn’t an alert for other people, just went off every time there was a call. They also used to use it when we had really bad storms to let people know when the roads were cleared!

Chattanooga has a weekly tornado test. Barely notice it. Back in Jackson, CA there was a noon lunch whistle that was a notice the miners would be popping up for a meal break. That was cool.

Growing up in Central OH I remember the warning test siren was at noon on Wednesdays. Been outside Seattle for 12 years now and no sirens. One time I was at work and my county actually had a tornado (super rare) and I discovered that not only did a lot of my coworkers have no clue what to do, they didn't know the difference between a "watch" and a "warning". I have heard sirens on the WA coast and I think they're for dangerous conditions like fog\wind\the beach is dangerous. I believe there's also a tsunami siren. 🦃🦃🦃

🦃 I have a phone case from Casetify on my Christmas list for my husband to give me! Your link is included! What a fun day we had. I brought Disney to our school’s Fall Festival. We did the Oogie Boogie Bash and had Disney blowups and activities all day! I bought Mickie and Minnie ears for my class and we had decorated cookies a bakery made for them. How I’d love to share photos with you! Right now I’m working on a Disney themed gift bag for my cousin who just started chemo, but loves Disney. I’m filling it with all sorts of treasures I’ve found. She loves sunrises and I even found a KZfaq channel with sunrises over Disney. Your love of Disney has rekindled my love for it and the Sunday evenings my family would sit around the tv watching the Wonderful World of Disney. Along with Disney, your makeup suggestions have won me over. My low self esteem is on a roller coaster, soaring to the top and I have you to thank for that. I’m wanting to try the benefit mascara for sure! Especially after hearing your review…Jess, L’Oréal has a really good brown liquid liner, such a pretty brown and you can tell it’s brown! Another KZfaqr was saying that Melt powder can actually be used as a highlighter for the cheekbones ...it's way too much glow to be a setting powder....but now that u like it and we both have more dry skin I may try it because either way I will be able to use it in one way or another

Yes, we have a tornado siren test once a month. Every morning at 9 am. We have one close and it's very loud. It's a good sign when it needs to go off, but man, if you sleep late, it will make you jump. I sleep late, so it always wakes me up every time. I grunt but happy it's so close if it's a true warning we can hear it over the TV. Had a couple of close ones to were it was as a definite warning. We had one hit only 4 miles away. We got high winds for a short time but not high enough to do any serious damage. Just high winds that snapped small branches. Another one hit about 8 miles away. It hit my brothers house dead on. My brothers tree fell on his back deck. one across the back fence and branches and alot of other debri. It was a mess. So thankful they were in the basement safe. We don't have one so if we can we will drive the 3 miles and get in my dad's basement. Fingers crossed we won't ever have to. We live in Illinois
