Can the value of t also be calculated using similar figures? E.g 12s = 12m/s 14s = 4m/s therefore in the case of ts Will say 12s - ts = 12m/s 14s - ts = 4m/s. ( We cross multiply) 12 -t x 4 = 14 - t x 12 48-4t = 168 - 12t ( like terms together) -4t + 12t = 168 - 48 8t = 120 (divide both sid by 8) ------------------ t = 15s final answer. ------------------
