John - you made my wife Karen (Thompson) McDonald's day with this video. She really appreciated the video's with her dad (Sonny Thompson) racing. She remembered so may of the other background people in this video. It's great watching so many individuals that had such an impact on Karen's life and childhood.

My dad was Sonny Thompsons mechanic for his 1971 and 1973 world championship cars I was at the 1971 race in Islip NY My dad was Ernie Byrnes

Greg Breeze ernie came with my uncle sonny to are house in pinellas park when they would run the winter nationals at sunshine speedway my mom &dad jim & sandra Thompson
