My first shinkansen experience was on this series, in 2016 we went from Tokyo to Nagano then Nagano to Kanazawa. A great train experience! We did not think to buy a bento box before boarding, lesson learnt for our next trip to Japan.

I looked up the designer, Ken Okuyama, and discovered before his time at Pininfarina designing Ferraris, he also worked on one of my favorite cars of all time, the first-generation Honda NSX (the Acura NSX in the United States). I love the elegant look of the E7 -- I'm a bit jealous you've gotten to ride it!

You have just got to love those amazing trains Itsuka. They look like they are going at 220 klm an hour standing at the station. I am so happy that you get the opportunity to ride them so that we can have these awesone journies with you. Your meal looked tantalising as was the injeanious packaging it came in. I have rode this green class once in a short trip from Tokyo to Kumagaya and I think it's the most comfort and modern seat in the green class car

I Wish that America and AMTRAK had the Original high speed trains from the past in the 1930s during the ART DECO Era of Streamlining like the Milwaukee Road HIAWATHA Steam locomotive from 1935, the Class "A" 4-4-2 , with the Streamlined jacket designed by Mr. Otto Kuhler, then 4 locomotives were built by A.L.C.O. in Schnectady, New York; then shipped West to Chicago Illinois, and used on the fast express runs from Chicago to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. WITH FAST SPEEDS OVER 100 M.P.H.!!!!! And Minneapolis, Minnesota. PLUS...the Wisconsin state Capitol of Madison, and many small farming towns, in "AMERICAS' DAIRYLAND!!!" Please note that most of the Midwestern states and cities were often based upon names that were translated from the American Indian tribes like the Winnebago and Ho-Chunk, and Potawatami, and many others. Then after the European immigrants arrived in the 1600s did other cities get names from France, Germany, Poland 🇵🇱 , Norway 🇳🇴 and many many more!!!!! Take care!! Sadly, a number of these E7/W7 train sets were damaged beyond repair from a river overflowing near the Shinkansen maintenance yard in Nagano. 🙁 I believe that Kawasaki Heavy Industries are going to replace all of them by 2024.

調べると以下の説明があったのでやはりE７系なのかなと思ってます・・・北陸新幹線のボディにデザインされるロゴマークは E7系：EAST JAPAN RAILWAY COMPANY W7系：WEST JAPAN RAILWAY COMPANY
